Flowering With CFLS From Seedling

This is the start of something that is for the Cfl growers on this marvelous site also for steath growers. This is my first grow and Ive decided to go down a different road than most. Cost for most cfl/steath growers is a big deal also the odor.

  • 2 68w 2700k Cfls will and more when needed. Only using 2700k well because Im only flowering so everything is kept simple and no confusing kelvin issues. 12/12
  • 4'' duct fan taped to can 2600 filter using passive intake, 6'' fan for circulation 24/0
  • Foxfarm soil and filtered water
Thats it of course theres other items youll need to buy like power strips, timers etc. but im here to give the basics of this operation so you can use or not use this information to fit your style and budget.

Now for what Im doing. Ive decided to flower from seedling. I have one box 4wx2dx3h with duct fan and carbon filter pulling in different box. So 24sq' is what i have to work with for clones and flowering plants.

Each week ill be taking pictures to see what is going on with these babies. I havent seen any info or pictures of this and how fast each harvest will come the yield or what the fuck happens, Im sure theres some stuff out there but frankly im tired of searching for it. I would add that 6 of the 9 seedlings made it theres 1 sage n sour, 3whitewidow x bigbud, 1 Auora Indica and 1 Bubba Kush some are feminized will just see in a couple weeks. These plants are a little stretched but after reading a fourm yesterday I know know how close these suckers can be to Cfls. Ill lst when I transplant them 3' minus the lights isnt a lot of room to grow.

My goal is to keep everything simple, odor ,sound and light proof.
I want this information to get out there and start seeing more people doing it. Im tired of the same stealth and cfl grow, change will be immanent!!!!

This is just about the exact same amount of space that I have to work with, would you mind posting some pics or your grow box?

Can't wait to see how this grow goes, Good Luck!

Thanks!

about what im doing now...8 plants going...all 12.12 from seed and at various stages...some soil...one in a dwc system...with about 300 watts of cfl. there are downsides as well as advantages to 12/12...you get them to flower/sex faster which can help bring your harvest time down...but flowering takes a little longer to really kick in. buds will only be a quarter of the size they should be at 2-4 weeks..but then really start to swell fast at the end.yields of course are smaller for the obvious reason...but from those with limited space, and need a fast harvest it works just fine. this will be my last run at 12/12...trying to finish this fast since ive moved into a grow closet with 35 cubic foot of space from a stealth dresser with maybe 10 cubic foot...now have more head space then ill ever need..almost 7 foot...so no reason for me to 12/12 ever again...just need to finish the closet still..getting panda film to cover the walls..ran out of room in the dresser and had to move them in there now..but this is what im working with now to give you an idea of how it works out.

Good looking plants. What's your average harvest time with the 12/12 run?
varies from strain to strain of course....pretty much whatever the flowering time for the strain is...add 2-3 weeks for it to show sex and thats what it takes to finish...sativas tend to take a little bit longer because they are still trying to grow the entire time its flowering...and the stretch is still about the same when it goes into flowering...most of mine triple in size if not more in the first 3 weeks of flower
