Flowering with Fluorescent lights

im thinking about buying a 150 watt hps. will this be enough for my plants?

hey bud im growing in a pc grow case and my question is. is 2x26w daylight cfls and 1x14w soft white cfl fine for one plant an mine is only a 2 week old seedling 2 inches away from lights

thats fine for veg but not for flower

can any one help me with my cfls and my pc grow case

what do i need for flower

i mean this is my first grow so im not an expert but you should prob invest in a HPS. you can load up on cfls but you might as well just get a HPS

150 would do 2 plants pretty well I'd imagine. You want the HPS for bud production due to its red spectrum of light.

thoughs other lights are better but you can get a good yield from flourecent i've done this before and got 2 ozs from one plant and it was bag seeds to. But the thing is when it comes to flourecent lights they need to be at least 3 inchs or closer. the thing is they don't give off as much light thats why the others are better. I used 9 42 watt light bulbs and they did great and suprisingly that schwag was alot better than that crap you get on the streets. Now i have hps lights and they are the s**t. If you can afford it buy them.

u cant tell how much it will yeild it depends on how u grow if really work at it u can yeild 4 oz a plant. ive hear that the longer the roots are the more u will yeild.

Hey man, i used also t8 light on my first indoor crop, had 3 racks, each had 2 bulb, each 58 w...I vegged for month and a half, and the flowered for 10 weeks...also added on 70 w hps and 6 cfls, 26 w each, and my widow yield was very nice indeed, i was so pleased...you can easily flower with them with good results, just keep em close as u can and youl be fine

Cruzer said in his indoor thread that when he flowered with flouros, he got the most resin production/ potent bud. So even if you don't yield that well, the weed you do have will be bomb

If you can afford, go for a 250W HPS for those plants, you can get them fairly cheap. I was in the same position as you when I started growing. The money you put in now will pay off come harvest. If you don't invest, you won't get as much in return
