Flowering with UnderCurrentDWC

Do you recommend that I use or throw out the super boost? The roots you are putting down seem to speak for the effectiveness of the gro aqua if that's all you're using!!! You aren't using the bloom aqua either? Are you using any of their other stuff?
I haven't found much use for the superboost, during veg it's just aqua grow and some h2o2 currently, and for flower I use aqua bloom, budblaster and 35% h2o2

Man, that is a beautiful sight!

I don't know if my noob ramblings deserve their own thread, but I have read some threads that I became dumber for the effort... I guess falling somewhere in the middle can't be all bad.

But I digress...

I have a couple of gallons of the 35% H2O2 and plan on using it and regularly. Does it extend your clean out times? I have no idea how often you need to change res with this system. It seems like it changes itself like my old cars used to change their own oil, one quart at a time.

I would like to share my progress without hijacking your thread but I really just want to show you and Woodsman what you have inspired and ask your guidance on a few things. I am no where near as active as I have been tonight. I have doubled my total posts in the last couple of hours!

Is that a half burned out powerstrip with red tape over the bad plugins by your intake filters? I've got some just like that but with grey duct tape!

We're all noobs at some point.
I wouldn't say it extends my clean out time, but it will keep any nastys from getting out of hand, I usually change out twice during flower and flush at the end
If your legal I hope you reconsider and open your own grow thread, It end up helping yourself and others!
Yep... half broke powerstrip, Never buy from harbor freight!

Nice Room & system you put together there Afistakis!

Are those 20 gallon totes?... That system is a monster! but looks like things could get crowded in a hurry though.

How many supernatural products did you buy? I have a Supernatural hydro feeding chart I'll post for you. Undercurrents tend to run on 1/2-3/4 the recommended nute strength. I use the aquagrow from clone to flower even thought they recommend the superboost for clones, I'd like to try there superlicious product during flower some time to see if it really adds smell and flavor. The problem I have with supernatural is ordering everything from one distributer, I usually end up with multiple shipping charges but over all it's super easy to work with, always mix it and let it sit, giving time for the nutes to fully dissolve before introducing it to your system.

Nice to have another Uc'er around here.
Happy growing

Nice looking grows undercurrentdwc. I love looking over your posts. And im always stoked to see other people running superNat, its a hidden gem. BTW i have been using the superlicious for my last few grows, it works quite well. First thing you'll notice is the aroma, holy shit, i thought i was gonna have to get a bigger carbon filter. And its super concentrate, 1tsp per 10 gallons, i bought a 500g package being a little ambitious and im still on it.

Anyone else roll joints anymore?

I found these elements afcionado packs that are pretty cool, they've got papers, filters, and a built in tray. I found a box online ends up being under 2.50$ a pack 33 papers per pack, the filters are perforated for easy use and the corners of the pack have magnets to keep everything together

As I like to call it, Horrible Freight! There are some things that I wouldn't have without their cheap crap but it is pretty much all cheap crap...

I am legal and I will seriously consider starting a thread. I am down to help and share my experience but I don't consider myself an expert anything. I am sure that I will generate more questions than I can answer but that is why I read... I am also working on setting up an Arduino to control lights, fans, and constantly monitor the environment and data log so that I can apply the scientific method over time. The local thread working on it is HERE. I am hoping to be operational with that by the time I plant next week, but if not, it will not slow down progress.

I ordered supernatural through amazon due to lack of a decent one stop shop. I got hit with multiple shipping costs too. Superlicious sounds nice, I may try that as well.

Are you changing res in flower twice making 3 sets of nutes plus veg or 3 sets total including veg? 3 or 4 weeks per clean setup? How clean do you get the totes? I have 1.5 inch or so residual when I pump out, do I need to suction that out too? I have extra totes that I could move plants to if I need to super clean the system but I hope that isn't necessary.

Keep on rolling :joint:

- ^ yes + veg
This round I started with veg nutes for the first 2 weeks of flower adding back water, start of 3ed week I added aqua bloom and budblaster to the system than topped of with water the rest of the week. Week 4 I flushed with ph'd water for 36 hours than refilled with bloom & bb topping of with water, now week 5 I'll be mixing up more bloom aqua and bb feed tomorrow and top off with water for the rest of the week.

I vac out the totes during the first system change out while the roots are small enough, after that I only pull nutes out of the system thru the control tote leaving about a gallon in each site, I'll then flush the system this dilutes what's left, then drain again through the control tote and refill with fresh nutes.
If your having issues with water and plant health than you'll need to be more through about clean outs

I've bought from horticulturesource.com, amazon and a private seller on ebay
If hortisorce carried everything I'd be a happy man, I would buy local but no one carries it.

I was just on there site the other day, and they now have a store locator up. http://www.supernaturalbrand.com/store-locator/
And i hear you about them not carrying it, i had to bug the hell out of my local shop to start carrying it, it took them about 2 months, and then they started. bull shit man! lol
I checked out hort source, they do seem to have good prices. Thanks!

Thank you for all the kind words Thehealthcoop!

Sounds like you'll be putting together an amazing grow room!

I do like the t5's for veg and cloning they have a great footprint with low heat, I'm using aquarium bulbs but a mix or regular 3500k and 6000k bulbs will work great and save money.

Your welcome! glad the thread could be an inspiration, I know I find good ideas from others all the time.
Yes, Thanks, I am working and re working the Pre Production Plan every day. I think I will be switching over to teh STG Medium as well. Id like to see as clean and easy a system available for my root zone.

DO you have those insulated pieces over your sites to keep the light from penetrating the STG? And did you just use those cause you happen to have em lying around.

I plan on wrapping all my Gallon sites with the white ORCA grow reflective material. WOuld one need to insulate annnnnnnd use TECHSHIELD in the room build, Maybe Im going over board in safety and sealed room environment by designing room walls to be walled off using TECHSHIELD then lined with IR FILM, then completed walled with white ORCA GROW reflective medium? It looks like Im going to do an 18 site system with 6 open face 1000k Gavita's. Figuring out my configuration with those 6 lamps for proper coverage and overlap. Thanks again in advanced for your response.

No they're there to keep heat and light from entering through the top of the grow site, it also raises the plant 2 inches giving me more volume in the totes.
No I specifically bought the foam for that purpose.

You might want to look into reflectix to wrap the tote instead if orca, Reflectix actually has some insulative abilities, you can find it at blowe's and home cheepo
I insulated the wall I built... tech shield already has an IR film applied to it so there is no need to add another, The reason I went with tech shield is because I'm using the shiny side like orca to reflect light back onto my plants, If you're going to cover your room in orca film and insulate imo there is no need for the tech shield but hey it only costs like a dollar more per 4x8

Thanks. Just to re confirm, you insulated with the TECHSHIELD, or you insulated annnnnnd TECHSHIELD-ed. Does the keeping in of Radiant energy of the TECHSHIELD in of it self act as insulation?

R13 insulation + Techshield

Yes but it's very thin and designed for heat reflection the bat insulation is what will really insulate from outside temp fluxuations.

Damn this supernatural is the only nute that has me thinking to give a test run besides my standard dynagro line...

I am not worried about the clumping in the jar with a dry mix, those idiots just need to use a dedicated spoon for measuring and not mixing also.

I can't argue with your plants, I am in single buckets though and wondering about similar results.

I would have to order it as it seems its an upstart Cali company and looks like a lot of low grade hype commercials to the point of unbelievable with their young toothless spokeperson. I am a skeptic though.. just trying to see if its worth the 28 bucks for each mixture veg/grow to test.

I'm on the fence UCD pull me over or push me off...
