I began flowering my 2 plants one weeks ago. When should I expect to be able to determine their sex and see some bud formation.

Within a week to 10 days you should be able to see some signs of sex. Then the calyxs will start growing out, and piling on.

I am 3 days in to flowering and all of my plants look female. ;) Though I am sure it too early to really tell. I will keep looking for something while looks male.

How tall? Actually, we need much more information. I see a lot of problems using a fish tank. Lack of drainage being one of them.

I agree with ngtybear. I would grow in individual pots if I were you. Also what happens when you have them all together in the fish tank and you have a male and a female, they would have to be seperated wich will be tough to do in a fish tank without killing them. i went to hardware store yesterday to get supplies and i picked up some 12 inch wide 12 inch deep pots for 4 dollars. i suggest plastic of clay because its easier to transplant since u can bend plastic a lil' bit.

Also if it is just a single floro you may have problems! Pack as many lights in your grow space as possible!! I wouldn't recomend the fish tank idea at all!

yea, use single, individual pots for the plants..
and you will want more than 1 floro...so go to hardware store and buy like 3 CFL lights ( the spiral bulb)...they are cheap. you can use CFL light for the whole growing process... so you can start with like 3 to vegg....but you might want a few more to flower with.

im really starting to like CFL light...they work great.
