It's also a popular source of N in the professional agriculture/greenhouses. Many people don't seem to like the idea of using urea as nutrients but that's more emotion than logic. It's part of the circle of life 'and shit'. And technically it's urea-based, I don't suggest people actually piss in their medium.Urea is organic. (main ingredient in miracle grow and jacks classic.) It requires bacteria to convert into nitrates.
Urea is just one example though. It's quite easy to overdose with blood meal, fish emulsion, chicken and rabbit manure and other high N organic nutrients. Palm ash alone (high potash) will do the trick too. Basically anything concentrated and fast working (not necessarily direct).
