Hey, I have this plant that was new to me. I started the flush when I got to around 40% cloudy and things where fattening up nicely. It's now 2 weeks later and look's ready for the chop... But it's not. The tric's haven't changed yet the plant has used up every ounce of energy. It's bright yellow and any leaves that are still attached look pretty useless, so I ruled out any nutrients to help it along. Will it ever finish do you think or will it degrade? Really am stuck with this one, but I HATE chopping early.

It should still ripen when it is ready. You really don't need to flush next time. If you are using nutes, just water enough every week or so to produce some run off and this will be enough to get excess salts out of your soil. A proper cure is the key to smooth and tasty smoke, not flushing. Just my opinion and I also used to flush.

Flushing is for toilets or really bad nute screwups.

How long has it been flowering for?
The trichomes have not changed to Amber or they have not gotten more cloudy. Inspite of all the common forum silliness you don't really Want Amber trichomes. The amber is a sign of cannabinoid degradation. I'm not going to get into a big long debate about this all just trying to help.
IMHO a perfect harvest would be a plant which had almost 100% cloudy trichomes, had bulked up its buds and whose hairs had receeded nicely. However it won't happen with every phenotype or strain. In which case you have to pick which traits to follow and judge when it's done more carefully.

It's 10 weeks flower, the trichomes don't seem to be turning cloudy anymore, and there's no amber at all. I just don't think it's got anything left to give, non of the leaves seem to be productive anymore. I can't get a picture atm but it just looks like a completly yellow plant. I kinda agree about not waiting for amber, I'm pretty sure a lot of them turn during the drying/curing stage like you say. I haven't really put much thought into finding a good pheno and working with it but I'm losing my patience working with shoddy strains. I've just started 4 fem Bomb THC Bomb from Herbies, which I might just pick the winner and keep it as a mother.
