So, how does one go about "flushing" when working with a soil application? And how often? And what are the advantages? I just put my girls into flowering 5 days ago or so, but I didn't flush. What's going on? lol.

Lol. You're good man, you don't have to flush before flowering.

Flushing is something you do before harvest or if you get nutrient buildup.

Flushing is a process by which you run (about 3 times) your pot size with clean water. i.e. when flushing a one gallon pot you would slowly poor 3 gallons of water through your pot. The reason for flushing before harvest is to get you plant to suck up all the nitrogen left.

Why you ask?

Cuz nitrogen tastes like soap when you smoke it!

So yeah flush your plant like twice a week for the last two weeks before harvest.

Flushing is also done when your plants either get nutrient burn or look sick despite what you considered regular watering and appropriate feeding. This is basically to give you a clean sleight to get your plant back on top of things.
