? for the 4x8 table growers using HID lighting during vegetation

Was wondering if you use 3 600 watts during veg or only during flowering? Would the light be wasted or help grow them strong and fast with the 3 lights on? Just wondering what the difference would be using 2 600 watts vs 3 600 watts during vegetation.

Anyone got any input?

I use four CMH's for veg, I like the way they grow.
I have a new trimmer, he grows with 1000w HPS all the way. He got my 400w HPS ballasts for his veg table. I don't hate HPS, I just prefer CMH.

HPS or CMH, the more the merrier is the easy answer. I assume enough experience not to burn so add light all the way to the ignition point.

the light can be too intense if theyre too young

I vegged under 1kw mh for babies, 1kw hps for 2-6 week clones before flower. I found that being consistent with lighting produced a better outcome and less stress overall (flowered under 5-8kw). I rooted cuttings under 8 48'' t12 daylight flouros.
