i live in upstate ny about 15 min north of syracuse and i have been bagging my plants for about 2.5 wks now. the buds are already starting to form, the day night schedule is around 14 hours darkness right now and i have stopped bagging mine a couple days ago. the buds are still forming. a plant doesnt need exactly 12 hours of darkness to flower. if you give them a little boost with bags or tarps and your already around 2 wks into flower then i feel there is no need to continue. the dark period is long enough where they wont go back to veg. how far along are you into flower?

I only trap for a couple of weeks as well. My plants are between 10 to 15 feet tall and they are mature . I cover the first time for 24 hours and shock them and then do a 12/12 cover for 2 weeks. They are off then and nothing stops them from doing their thing, they are covered with colas and thank heavens it isn't easy to cover plants that big . I use one of those pop up frames and cover that campers use to keep sun off and tarps on curtain hooks that just hook to the frme for the sides I have to bend the plants to get them under but they seem not to care. Its still a pain in the ass to cover them and uncover them every day. At this time of year they have been ready and once you set the hormones in action they do the rest be themselves.
Relax and enjoy!
