Force ripening

Anyone know if any tricks to speed up ripening?

Have couple plants behind the others but all need to come down due to unforeseen circumstances.

I’ve heard of a microbe bloom being used to ripen plants. I think I accidentally did this one year outside. I made a compost tea but added soil balance pro (microbial product) and brewed for 12hrs.

After applying they went yellow very fast and ripened up in a few days!

Anyone know of this technique/others?

cheers!

Well they are pretty much done just needed a couple more weeks so not looking to rush the whole cycle.

I’ll try this tea again and see if it was just a fluke.

@go go kid. Funny enough power cuts gave these autos a 12hr dark cycle couple times and they ripened noticeably!

i would sugest you make it yourself, but its highly flamable, so a big no no
in purified form i wouldnt touch the ethylene gas. but i have never seen a flamable banana to this day haha

I’ve heard of that just not seen it tried on weed. How many bananas is one talking about here?
i mean when its used for ripening they use it in the gas form not in banana form but one banana can give enough ethylene to ripen a big brown bag of tomatoes. the problem is the bag doesnt have an exhaust fan carrying the ethylene out. if you are recirculating air in your grow space like me, then adding a crate of bananas should definitely increase ethylene in the environment but i dont see it being the most feasible way of going at it. though worst case scenario you will never have a leg cramp ever again after eating a crate of bananas lol.

I've never tried it but I think shorter days and a drop in temperature would help..
I think plants have an established rhythm by this age. Since they are autos they have been 20/4 since seed and the extra darkness really did brown them up! Every different strain as well
