iv come to the conclusion ill have to flower out the progeny to best know what male is worth deeming a stud. i will be cloning my males from now on till i know if hes a keeper or not.
I was starting to think the same thing, and revegging a male would be quite polleny !! though I have thought about it.

I know this thread is pretty old, but I just witnessed Male to female hermaphroditism and was wondering if anyone had any additional information about the subject.

I have a TGA Subcool Plushberry that I kept in 12/12 for a little while, just till the male pre-flowers appeared. After that I moved it back to my 18/6 tent where it has stayed for about a month now. Few weeks of 18/6 and the plant started growing clusters of pollen sacks and I was going to use it for breeding, but today I noticed the plant has started trichome production and stigmas have begun to appear. So basically I freaked a male plant into producing female flowers. Would the pollen still be viable for breeding or would the offspring be freaks?

My guess is you stressed him into producing male flowers and I would definitely use the pollen on those pistils ... but wait, if pollen from a female gives you female plants does it mean that seeds from a male give you male seeds!!?? lol anyway I would do everything I could to get some seeds out of this and perhaps keep the ''male seeds"" to find a stud. good luck

very interesting. I thought it was advised to avoid using pollen from stressed induced transformations for the breeding of true strains?

It might be fun for some hybrids... I guess.

Anyways, I am subbed.
