This may be an absolutely stupid question

if someone, say a british folk, were to travel to america, and then possbily settle down with some kind of workvisa etc (basically let's say he can stay in the country for a year or so legally) is it possible for that person to then obtain a medical card, if he's residing in cali and paying taxes etc, like any other citizen.

paraphrased. can i come to california, get a job and get a medical card?

i've been informed that new zealand will sort you a work permit as fast as that if you're a qualified butcher, and was also told that this was thought to be true to parts of america too, although i have no idea on that.

As long as you have a valid CA drivers licence, then yes you can get the recommendation.
