Forum Timing Out

The new forums software seems to need tweaking it seems to time out too quickly you should change the timeout value to a longer one.I have to refresh like 10 times before I can view the page so in turn all the constant refreshing only makes the problem even worse by overloading the server even more.Your basically causing your own site to shutdown similar to a DOS or denial of service attack. So just extend the timeout and you'll be ok.

Hey Smokey,

Are you by any chance using noscript with google analytics disabled ? - I have found the site does not timeout in IE, and if (in Firefox) I enable Google Analytics scripts, then the site loads pages as normal for me. Strange thing though I CAN get pages to eventualy load without enabling G/A scripts if i keep refreshing.

I will send a message to the administrators about it.

Peace

Same issues here. I'm not changing my noscript settings though so the solution for me is to just keep hitting refresh until it works.

Same thing happening here..

Also, After I log in, it says Im not logged in, then i gotta refresh and it logs me in.. and blah blah blah.. Constant refreshing!!! WTF?

Not just this computer, lots of other computers over here do the same thing..

Shit, Im a seasoned Computer Guru, and Ill be another in line to tell the administrator that the current software is buggy as fuck.

The original software was 100% better.

Refreshing is ok from time to time, but constantly refreshing gets OLD fast!!!!

Same thing happens to me on 1 of the 3 connections I use - the other ones work fine - in order to load a page I need to refresh 3 or 4 times on average.
