Found a Hermaphrodite.. What can I expect?

Hello All,
I've scoured the forums here and a few other places, but haven't found a succinct answer to a few questions I had. I'm starting from seeds, Big bud in one tray, Pandora's box in the other. indoor grow. just started week 5. I found a herm in my BB. I cut it down. As I did, I saw pollen get jarred loose and float away. Depending on how much pollen got loose, what can I expect? I'd guess only two or 3 sacks were mature enough to bust open. I don't have any fans on yet blowing air around the room. Is there anything I can do to limit the effect? How much "damage" will be caused?
Thanks for any help

You can hope and pray thats about it. you can expect seeds. if was just a blast like that not to many tho i wouldnt think. If a male and female stand side by side for a whole cycle then yeah you will end up with straight seeds but just a small blast, just a few. be carfull next time learn from your mistake. did you light stress your girls by mistake to make them go Hermie.

best you can probably do is wash down everything in sight before you turn the fans on, not that i think that's going to help a whole lot as the pollen is largely airborne. if you happen to have an ionic breeze or hepa air filtering equipment you can remove a lot of the pollen from the air.

It doesn't take much to open those pods if their "ripe". You'll end up with some seed almost certainly. But it wont polinate a whole plant or anything. But you will notice some buds that will start to produce seed. If not yet, when you turn the fans on, it'll polinate some. Don't worry too much. You wont lose your whole crop.

And to my iknowledge, there isn't a simple fix to this. Pollen is like dust... you have to clean every nook and cranny to get it completely outa there. So you COULD remove all your females outa the grow room, sterilize the room and put them back; but I don't think that lil bit of pollen is worth all that work right now.

I will say though, after you harvest, sterilize your room to clean any pollen that fell and wasn't used at that time. No need for that plant to pollinate a whole 'nother crop.

Yeah possible. i just read this thing about mother plants that are stressed will throw herm prone or all male seeds. sux that Erb growing isnt like dog breeding where you can see the mother and her condition. Ya know.

I did top this plant right before I started flowering, but I don't think I light stressed it at all. It is the furthest away from the A/C though, maybe it suffered heat stress. I'm on the hoping and praying :)
