Hey. The Fox Farm Ocean Forest should be cut with some Perlite, for better drainage and oxygen to the roots.

It is plenty hot (plenty of food) out of the bag, and you wont have to use the Grow Big for atleast 3 weeks.

Both the Grow Big and Tiger Bloom are HOT (meaning very poweful), so start of 1/4 strength and go up as neccessary.

The Big Bloom is 100% organic and will be hard to mess up with. I really like this product.

Best of luck if you have any questions just ask.

I've used Ocean Forest and Tiger Bloom previously. Both were fantastic. I currently use the complete Fox Farm flower program (Cha-Ching, Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz) and they are great.

I also use the FoxFarms line.
As someone else said, be careful when you feed Tiger Bloom. The ph is very low, and as you can see by the pics, can lead to lockout issues.
Get yourself some sort of digital ph tester for testing your nute solution.
But LST is all i grow in a small area (3'x3'x6')
This girl is about 5 1/2 weeks flowering. Topped twice, supercropped, and lstd to be only 12" tall, but she's close to 2 1/2 feet in diameter.
Once again, get a good means to ph your water, I almost lost this girl before i got a digital tester.
The veg nutes seem a bit more forgiving, it's only been flowering nutes that give me problems.

Everything this dude said is 100% correct. I've only used foxfarms nutes and ocean forest and it works very well. If you want to purchase a good additive that works well in conjunction with these nutes take a look at "snow storm ultra." it helps the plants pump out resin convering your buds and leaves in a layer of dense frost. I use that as well as bonicare sweet as a carb additive. buds came out dense and frosty.

If you're new to all the FF stuff, be careful using their nutes, because they do wack ph way off the charts. Just a dab per gallon, and then ph Up it.

Ocean Forest comes loaded with fertilizer. Like others have said you wont need to add any ferts for 3 weeks or so.

Fox Farm also makes Happy Frog soil that doesnt come with ferts in it. It comes in bigger bags so it's cheaper too.

The tiger bloom does lower the pH...it says it will on the bottle. When I used the stuff if lowered it a lot. Just check the pH before giving it to your plants.

I recommend giving a water-only feeding between nutrient feedings like this...water, water+nutrients, water, water+nutrients, water...etc. This will help keep salt levels down and lower the chance of burning.

As others have said you need to be careful with the nutes. I am using the FF for an OG Grow. Very sensitive plant. I would start with even less than a quarter dosage and go up little by little from there. Different plants and strains react differently. It also depends on the size of the plants and how fast the plants are absorbing the nutes and other factors. Better safe than sorry in my opinion.

Hey bud. You dont want green leaves come harvest time! You want the nitrogen to be used up in those leaves for a much cleaner/better taste.

Just my .02! Take it or leave it!
Peace! :bigjoint:

A good flush doesnt mean its going to rid the plant of its nitrogen. If the plant has to much nitrogen, even with a strong flush you're going to get a bit of a harsh, not so tasty smoke.

Too much cal/mag with also result in harsh smoke.
