Fox Farm Ocean Forest vs Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil? Which is better for indoor growing?

i haven't used the happy frog potting soil but i have used ocean forest and had absolutely no problems with it

straight OF is too thick and dense. It will compact to the point of suffocating/rotting roots towards the end of flowering, and you don't want this problem. you need to cut it either with a bag of perlite, or with some light warrior (which has beneficial bacteria in it, plus other goodies). i use a 70 OF 30 LW mix.

Ive read of some nute burn problems with happy frog. I've never had a problem with ocean forest mixed with perlite
