Fox Farms Ocean Forest & Perlite mix ratio

Think a quart for a two gallon container would be about right? Searched the sticky's to no avail.

Got a couple bags Ocean Forest, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom today. All that paranoia I had about going to the Garden shop and wondering what I would tell the lady I was growing was just paranoia. Lady was nice as shit dudes. She even gave me 10 old 2 gallon black pots. She was damn nice I might have to go back there and get a regular type plant. Bwahahah Well she had an ass on her too.

She did comment how the Fox Farms was the best stuff out there. She prolly knew what was up. Glad I found a local distributor.

Mix ratio anyone????

Depends on how aerated you want your soil. I am a newb, so take this with caution, but I started my first grow recently using FFOF and about 20% added perlite.

i add about 25% to 33% perlite.

Depends bro - The more Perlite you use, the more often you will have to water, but the better aeration your soil will have.

The less Perlite you have, the less you will have to water, but you will have less air getting to your roots.

I use a 50/50 perlite/soil mix on my young plants in smaller containers to promote faster root growth, and I watch how much water they need carefully.

I use a 20/80 Perlite/soil mix for my larger plants and mothers since they are already developed and are thirsty!

Also, a little tip is to make sure you have better/more drain holes when you have less perlite... them clay pots with just one hole, however, do fine if you use alot of perlite, or just put a good inch of perlite at the bottom... SO you know... its just common sense haha
