Hmmmm... I think that's called 'progress'.They've recently changed the TV channels at my gym. They're all on ESPN and ESPN the "ocho" instead of Fox now.
I'm sorry that most of what they do goes over your head.npr sold out years ago. it resulted in the purge that threw all the real journalists out the door. now it's in depth nothingness. entertainment rather than substance.
MSNBC has been steadily shedding journalists who rock the GE corporate boat. People like Cenk Uygur, Dylan Ratigan, Ed Schultz and now even Chris O'Donnell is not seeing his contract getting renewed, in spite of the popularity of his show. I'm pretty tired of Rachel Maddow and her increasingly strident coverage of partisan issues at the expense of in depth pieces.

They do take corporate money, that's because their public funding has been cut- by right wingers.
They aren't quite as investigative of government and corporate corruption anymore but there's still plenty of substance there.
Sadly, NO ONE is doing hard hitting investigative reporting anymore. One can blame the current legal climate for that as much as anything.
Just because they don't say what you want to hear doesn't make them bad journalists.you just named all the shitty non-journalists as good and the one good journalist as bad.

Confirmation bias much?
Sorry. I'll return your favor of civility. We can disagree without being disagreeable.Now that's not nice. I still listen to NPR, but the purge was the end of the quality they used to have. Still some good content, just not the same.
I blame it on the board of directors caving to newt. They took the sure thing and fired the talent. I don't begrudge them corporate sponsors, I resent the sellout.
What they have to say isn't always palatable by those who like things the way they are.schultz and ungur are the biggest fucking hacks imaginable.

We can't say we weren't warned;
'Bad News' by Tom Fenton, former CBS News Senior Correspondent.
It's a chillingly prescient read, considering the copyright date.
So now what do thinking Americans do?I always look to "On bended knee" for a good synopsis of what modern journalism has become. And that was written back in Rayguns day. https://www.amazon.com/Bended-Knee-Press-Reagan-Presidency/dp/0374251975
They have gotten more craven since then, thats for sure.
You guys are repeating right wing propaganda to each other. Nobody is perfect. Some are better than others. A few are downright liars.Sorry. I'll return your favor of civility. We can disagree without being disagreeable.
