FoxFarm Ocean soil NUTRIENTS

Hey everyone, been seeing so many mixed messages and posts regarding using nutrients and Fox farm ocean soil.

I am starting a new grow this week using this specific soil, and I am hoping someone can point me to their own experience and advice on what nutrients to use?
Most people say wait until the grow is 4-5 weeks in to begin adding nutrients to this soil, so I will do that, however, I don't know which nutrients to use.

Could someone please point me in the right direction and make some recommendations?

I'm trying this next with dr earth life mixed in. It's works for autos and photos

I was gonna post and say you should look into earth dust. Basically the same as doctor earth but its two parts one for veg and one for bloom. I haven't used it yet but I just ordered mine today.

can you look for where you found it? Cant get my hands on Dr. Earth LIFE fertilizer or Megacrop

2 tablespoons of boost mixed in per gallon of Fox Farms Soil. Water and let sit for 2-4 weeks watering and stirring occasionally. This let's the microbes get to work. In the mean time I plant in a soil cup of plain soil and let the plants sprout. At two weeks or so I transplant into the newly cooked soil. Keep soil moist always. When you switch to flower topsress with bloom. The instructions are on the site as well and I may make a video about it. If I do ill post it

Thank you! Will def go on the website and see how they do it! thank you for the information. Last question in addition to this process, what are you planning on using to top feed your plants? if you are of course.

The earth dust comes in two parts. Base and Bloom. I am using the Base as my veg nutrient and top dressing with earth dust bloom for flowering.

FFOF and Dr. Earth granular is a great combo. One suggestion though, when choosing a pot make sure to go big enough that you can
mix the Dr. Earth with a little more soil when you go to start top dressing. I'm using Dr. Earth flower girl on a outside plant along with
a few bottled nutrients when I feel she is lacking something. Granular food is way simpler to use than any bottled nutrient i've used. Good luck with the grow.

Here's my exact recipe I use. 1.5 cubic feet of FFOF (about 11 gallons), 3 gallons perlite, 25 tablespoons of Earth Dust Base. Mix it and let it sit for 2 weeks or until my plants are ready for transplant.

just got my two packages of earth dust, thanks for the suggestions! when you use bloom during the flowering stage, do you literally just sprinkle two tablespoons per gallon on top? I have never top dressed before, so I'm not sure if have to mix the bloom with more FFOS?

It doesn't hurt to mix it with a bit of soil and sprinkle it around. Basically you don't want it to ever dry all the way out. So either soil or mulch or something.
