Frostwire IS Limewire.
Limewire was stupid - they made their program open-source. It wasn't long before someone took the source and put in all the pro paid-for features and for free.

I don't think anything happened to limewire. Mine works great, just downloaded about 10 songs.

My Frostwire's a little bit different from others since the code is open-source. I have it managing all downloads, even HTTP downloads get piped through it as a download manager.
Limewire never DARED offer such functionality.

If you want to feel like you're paying for it, get a premium rapidshare account, then go onto www.warez-bb.com. That place is a collection of links to downloads. They're all I use, and they're dozens of times faster than torrents.
