Freezing ice blocks in your growroom

Hi folks I heard someone mention on here before that if you freeze 3 gallon containers of water and sit them in your tent at the air intake it acts like an air conditioner and cools the room... Im not running an active intake at the moment but i do have a 600 in a cooltube and temps are about 78-80F (which is much better than they were) Still i am trying to get to the magical 70-75F and i was thinking of trying this and freezing up some 2L bottles and sitting them in the room in front of my oscillating fan (large tower fan) Can anyone confirm if they have tried this and if it works? Thanks folks

78-80 are really good temps...

I wouldn't try too hard dropping the temps any lower than this...

Its not gonna make a difference..seriously.

well... its not going to cost me anything either as my fridge freezer is on all the time anyway... was going to buy some 2L coke bottles and just fill with water, freeze overnight and then stick them in the growroom to see if it makes any difference

in fact i may do it today just to find out now

do you not think so closetgrowth?... the person who said it on this forum said they put them infront of the active intake... i was just wondering if it would work passively as well?

I do this currently with my setup. My temps are around 88ish with lights on. If I have a frozen gallon next to the intake the temps are down to like 83. that lasts about ~10 hours but Im in flowering now so all is well.

But be careful! If you have anything in that freezer where you plan on putting your 2 Liter bottles that might spoil, it will! Putting a warm 2 L bottle of water is a lot of heat in a freezer, and it will warm up a lot of things around it for a considerable time. So keep that in mind.

I rotate my gallons. I have 2 gallons, one is always in the freezer, and the other is always in front of the intake. I also got some ice packs too, like something you would put in your lunch box. The foam refridgerante ice packs are the best in MHO because they don't leak that blue shit everywhere, and they stay pretty cold for almost 24 hours next the ice gallon. Hope this helps

This sounds like it should work, but I would be more concerned about this making the humidity way higher than you want.
