I'm not sure just how cold your winters may be in Maine, but in Canada.-40 is not that uncommon, and I never seen anyone worry about it

dude!! thanks man really!! i think thats just what im gonna get to run while my lights are off so i can still keep my fresh air coming in all day.... awesome!! thanks!!
I was going to say you could obviously just hook your intake fan up to the same timer as your light. Your fan/filter should still suck in cold air through the vent just at a slower pace so mayb temps wouldnt get so low. Otherwards yep get a heater and have it turn off when ur light comes on

With cold outdoor temps... intake air should be drawn from within your room....assuming your indoor air temps are comfortable, and usually higher in co2. Vent your exhaust out the window instead of sourcing your intake air from outside. You can run the lights at night too to reduce day/night temp fluctuations.

the only issue with that is my grow box is in the basement and its a wet basement that has atleast an inch of water during the winter months so everything is up on blocks..... so im not to big on pulling that air in ya know.... i mean i could make some kind of filter box to go into first buuut still id rather pull air straight from outside anyway.... i think if you can pull right from outside thats always best right?? i would think so atleast...

Put them in a box to contain heat, vent in one side and out the other. Recycle the warmth.
I've even exhausted under my house to reduce the plume in winter and heat rises.
