From translucent to Cloudy: Shatter

My shatter in the making was pretty damn clear minus one small area. Not sure why it was cloudy, if anyone could explain it would be awesome.

Also, the part that was cloudy to begin with is now turning into wax..

I'm debating turning the whole thing into wax, would this be best?

FWIW it's a 35g patty with 20 hours on purge at 110F degrees 20141219_120854.jpg20141219_120854.jpg 20141219_120915.jpg

mmm IMO that stuff in your last picture is the best...

but you are correct the clouding up is your patty waxing

The last pic is the same patty just a close up.
Any suggestions on purge time? I've got it set for 72 hrs..
I'm thinking I'll just up the temp to 120 an get wax I suppose. Thanks for the reply

Any suggestions on purge time? I've got it set for 72 hrs.. I go anywhere form 6 to 48 hours it is strain dependent and what texture you are going for shatter, wax, sap
I'm thinking I'll just up the temp to 120 an get wax I suppose. Thanks for the reply when I do shatter I try to keep it around 100 right at 98 99, the temps fluctuate, and for wax I set it at 120 to 130 and lets the pump go I have had a 60 gram run done in 4 to 6 hours, again this is strain dependent. I have also noticed the fresher the material the easier it is to get it to wax

hope that helps if you have any more questions ask.

Answers all my questions for now! Next time I'll stick to 100F for shatter that's might be why it's waxing a little. Thanks a ton for the info though really appreciateit. Don't have anymore questions for the time being. Thanks again man!!
