Exactly where do i test the trich's from?? do u clip a sugar leaf from the main bud or from the buds in the middle?? I know what i'm looking for in "color (10 to 15% amber) but i'm not sure where to clip my "sample leaf" from. Can anyone hepl me? I'm almost at harvest, 7 1/2 weeks now and i'm thinking another week. Pic's below are from 6 weeks.

ignore leaf trichs, you want to get an estimate of 'overall' ripeness of trichs on actual calyxes all over the plant. average that with pistil recession, swelling, and foliage color changes, to watch for your window.

Different parts of the plant usually ripen at different times. If you have a steady hand you can look directly at the plant, Instead of taking leaves off. Take samples from the main cola and lower buds. Multiple samples will ensure you know exactly the perfect time to pick every part of the plant.

Marvelous looking plant btw.
