front porch grow

so, i've taken over my roomates grow-project, because i've got tons of free time and she wasn't paying them enough attention in my eyes. haha they're doing very well so far with what she has done which is just standard watering.. they're about four weeks old or so now.. probably about 6-7" tall and i've already taken 4 males out of about 10 plants. nipped them quickly. im in the south where our temps arent extremely cold at night and its been rather nice in the day about 70 or so.. so they are coming along rather nicely. not so bushy though? is that ok? some of them are getting a little bushy but no "branches" so to speak.. also, with them being outside on the porch, was wondering if there was a certain temperature they should not be exposed to as far as a low (of course not freezing). also, haven't fertilized them whatsoever as of yet.. where do i start VERY SIMPLY fertilizing? miracle gro should do the trick right? since they are growing outside this time of year i'm assuming ill just be nurturing this plant through the winter and such and then have a nice healthy plant to produce bud in the spring/summer, correct? thanks for any advice in advance.

what kind of seed is it? are you just using sun light? the plants won't grow as good if there is a drastic temperature change like on a porch, but they'll still probably grow. MG isn't a great fertilizer but I've used it with decend results.

they were just some seeds she planted in some potting soil in pots.. said they were striped and such, and from some great bud. nothing fancy of course. yeah just sunlight.. where im located the tempurature change really isnt too drastic.. we're lookin at like 70 for the highs and 55-60 for the low. when is too cool though? i will bring them in for the evenings with frost/freezes.. but im near florida so those are few and far between. will they need to remain indoors at any certain time? im hoping to keep these outdoors for the most part all winter, even if i do have to incorporate some sort of heat for them. as far as fert, im just looking for something super simple and fairly affordable.

also - i take that back on growth - they range from 3-6" probably.. some more bushy than others, mostly the shorter ones being bushier. the stems arent that thick yet though and no real branches. im guessing the smaller bushier ones are going to be my females? it tends that the taller ones are getting the ''balls'' - i plan on posting some pics in the next day or so

Whatever you do, make sure you feed them some sort of nutrient that is intended for the flowering process... dilue to 1/4 or 1/2 strength at first... feed every other watering... they plants will not produce much and it won't be very good if you just let them grow w/o giving them any sort of nutrients... mix molasses as well into the water... 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon (Unsulfphered molassess, grocery store, grandmas brand or whatever)....

you will end up w/ a good end product, with a small yield due to your growing environment... but oh well, give it a shot.. grow it, smoke it... peace

your starting your "outdoor grow" at harvest time where plants are naturally going into flowering because of the sun they may have already started flowering

they are recieving a full day of sunlight, probably about 10-12 hours.. that is my biggest question at this point is, how do i care for them right now, since they are young and arent going to produce (that i know of) at this age for this harvest.. so i dont think i necessarily need tips as if i was harvesting right now.. when they were planted it was not planned with proper planting times to correspond with a fall harvest.

if they are getting under 12 hours your gonna want to start feeding them as soon as possible to get any decent results. are they show preflowers?

by preflowers, what am i looking for? i mean i was seeing the lil baby balls popping up ontop of what i assumed to be the males from all the reading ive done so i got rid of those guys.. however the other plants just seem to keep sprouting more at the top and get slightly bushier. theres no 5 sphere leaves yet on any of them yet though

also, i found out they were planted in miracle grow potting soil, and they are about 4 weeks old now.. should i commence fertilizing now? or?
