Hopefully you have a ph and ppm meter. If you nutes are not frying your plant right now you really shouldnt have to do anything for atleast a week if not 2 weeks. Just keep your ph between 5.6-6.1 and let it drift a bit. Dont change your strength of nutes until it start to really grow. Like I said at 1/3 strength should be plenty for the first 2 wks of growth then change out rez and run 1/2 strength. Baby steps at first

I usually do .2EC total for the first week or two then I bump to .4EC. Which is like 1/4 strength for most nute companies.

It helps to have a good spray of roots coming out the bottom of your rockwool before transfer which usually takes a week(something to try next time). I saw roots in the bucket in as little as 3 days(Day 10 total) doing it this way. Faster your roots get in the buckets and growing strong the faster your plant will grow. Once you get a good deal of roots your plant will spike in growth. I bump them up slowly to .8EC over like the course of a week, or longer depending how slowly its growing.

You're going to need some calmag, unless your nutes come with the stuff. Never used that brand of nutes so i'm not sure. Use 1ml/gal until the plants about 8 inches tall then go to 2ml/gal. Work up to 5ml/gal later in flower.

Once you start feeding heavier the PH will be more stable and just keep it at 5.8. Do a swing if you need to, I just keep mine at 5.8. I find with lower feeds like .8EC and below the PH will drift from 5.8-6.0/6.1 over night so daily adjusting is necessary.

Get a EC/PH meter if you havent got one already.

Not sure about that zyme, but i've had awful luck with zymes in general. I've had much better luck with using just grow, bloom, calmag, and pk booster. And a mycos product for root population.

hey guys...

i know the ph/ec meter necessary for growing but right now i should go with my sense for couple of days.. i ordered the meters yesterday... i have aquarium ph strips which it calculates minimum 6.4 ph, and used ph adjusted water which is 6.2 ph... and few drops of GE Ph down in to the reservoir... The result i am sure less then 6.4 ph but i don't know really what it is..

there is no stress or negative sign on the plant today as you can see...2012-12-21 11.41.09.jpg

Hey firsttimeare, main root tip was came out from the rockwool when i transferred it..and right now its sits in the water i am hoping...For the light situation, i have another grow under 250 watt Hps which will end in a 20-25 days...View attachment 2450569 so in this time i can't use my cupboard... but i have serious amount of CFL's left from the first grow and i can go up to 200 watt CFL's for this grow... start with 40 watt for the beginning doesn't bad, right??? i can plug more if you say " you must do it "

Keep'n Touch everyone

the more light the better lass..CFL lighting is weak on the scale of lighting in general I like most newbs started with CFL/flouro lighting T5's were my cherry popper you can grow decent nugs on small plants with flouros but dont expect a big yeild bout an oz per 2-3ft plant..

I'd say bomb them with as much light as you can to get them storing enrjy before they flower

Your light is more than sufficient for now and good job using the ph tester and compensating. I would only adjust it if it rises to your minimum reading again. It will probably stay fairly stable given the size of your plant. If you need to top off I would only add straight water back for now. When you get your meters, test your water and make note of your ph and ppm and use that as your starting point in the future as long as your plants shows no signs of over fertilization. In short you doing a good job and keep up the good work! If your nutrients are working well and continue to I would stick with them.

Also on the light, I would look into getting a 400 watt hps for your flowering. You can find good deals on ebay for less than 100 bucks for a ballast, hood and bulb which in my opinion is affordable and worth the money. It shouldnt put out much more heat than 250w of cfls. But each to their own.

I had a box full of cfls which I used for veg when I first started and my cabs would get just as hot using 8 42w cfls as a 400w. I have never had to run a 400w in a sealed hood, all I would do is vent my cab or tent with a small exhaust fan. I have ran it in a 2x3 and a 2.5 x 2.5 tent with acceptable temps. If using a scrubber you may want a little stronger exhaust but a 4" setup should be more than suitable for that area.

Some people use HPS start to finish, if you have the head room and ventilation ready, I'd switch... but I'm not a pro.

MH is supposed to help minimize stretching bc it provides light in the blue spectrum. HPS is more red spectrum which can lead to young plants stretching out.
