Yeah the photos you posted yesterday the roots looked a bit brown. But the pics you posted today they look fine. Just age or nute stains. I've never had pearly white roots either like some people get.

looks good man way bigger then the fast soil grow I did not some more like seymorebuds grow of TD that guy grew a serious plant

I`ve always wanted them super white roots I`m using this TNC stuff kinda like great white along with some multi zyme right now my root`s are pretty black but that`s the culture living on them breaking down roots and sugars and stuff my plants look super happy and have even started growing a tad faster so as much as I hate how my roots looks I can`t fault them in what their doing

I go by smell rotten roots smell kind of like old bean sprouts like really bad noodles from a chinise take away as long as they smell ok I`m not going to worry anymore as long as the plant looks healthy

Anyone else know the smell I`m on about ?

hey ppl,

It's been long time, i didn't update anything..I was little busy these days..

So today is the 49th day of TD. I started to use bloom nutes 2 days ago. She looks little sad past days, i was thinking she is not getting enough oxygen, so i took out 5 liter water from the res.Today she looks more fine. It's start bloom little late, what you think? why it can be?

PPM around 550 - 600 where she likes to be. Ph 5.8 -6.0 i added 2.5 ml PK 13/14 is it early for these stage of bloom? Res. temp is between night 16 - day 20 C degree. closet temp 26 C
also i added sugar+yeast CO2 generator in to the closet.

so any advice ?

do you think this works? I've been using it for about a week, but I have fans in my grow room, so not sure if its concentrated enough.

oh & looks good, roots look great!! Do you think she could just be sleeping?

Your CO2 needs to be higher than the plant canopy as it "falls" being heavier than O2 when it escapes your brew kit. Keep fans on low and from blowing directly on its path and they can help distribute the CO2 in your grow area.

DAY 55

last 3-4 days Ph was dropping too fast to 4.5 during the day,is it because ppm is too low??. its around 550 -600 right now.

and i need a bigger air pump i think, roots are massive now and when i look at the res, i can't see any bubbles in the water. Upper leaves are looking very sad but bottom fan leaves are streched. I'm thinking there is enough O2 in the res. for the bottom leaves but not for the all branches.. What you think? The res. temp., light heat situations every thing is under control, but she is sad.

Any suggestions???

Ph going down is a good thing usually. When your girl is eating the ppm's will rise along with the ph if she is eating more nutes than water. If she is taking in both equally then you will see the ppm stay the same and just the water level drop.

May want to check your res for slime and or browning roots add some pondzyme or great white which ever you can get in your area. I also believe in the more bubbles the better. Between the DO in the water and the fine mist it produces for the roots you get nice feeder roots. I run at least 2+ stones in a bucket depending on the strength of the compressor also.

my air pump has 2 out line and two air stone inside the res. but because of the heat, i moved the pump outside the house so pump is 5m far away from the res. with this length of pipe it loose energy. You understand what i mean. sorry about English... :-P

Yah I got you. I remember you had said that. So it sounds like for air you should be fine. I would look at the roots and if they are changing color at all. From white to a brown is what you don't want to see.

Also you may want to take to the debate on defoliation. I cut everything off from clone to flowering that blocks light from the plant. all the big fan leaves do nothing indoors besides suck up nutes on ya.

Plus with all them sites being hidden your yield will be better by cutting of everything that is small and gets no light to the fan leaves blocking other bud sites as well.

no there is no color changing.Roots tips are white and the rest not white but not brown also. If you look past pictures same like 10 days ago or 20 days...

and yeah I am cutting the bottom branches and fan leaves which are blocking light, but not in same time.

If anything then to be on the safe side it may be easier to just get a new clean bucket in there or what ever you do when you do a res change.

Maybe worth trying something with oxygen, you said low bubbles and big rootball and airstone. imo They look overwatered. First time I heard that I asked how can that be with dwc.It was explained in several ways. One guy said the airstones were just somewhere to get clogged up & to put a stainless screw in the end & adjust it. I haven't tried it yet right now I'm trying with just hose.Yours looking good other than that, & I'm no expert. I know from experience I can water more if I give more oxygen. A clean bucket is good always.
I like to defoliate some, looks like to me - to much slows growth, them big leaves help the speed of growth, but they block a lot of light,so I try to take the ones that are blocking light only. I been throwing them away, but I see trichromes on these and I think some peep make something out of them.Good Growing All.Peace
