horses for courses i'm afraid ... i'm using Cfl's ... suits me right now .. heat but not much... 6400k and 2700k in one lamp (3 no. used)

if i was to be veggin mothers and rearing clones i would roll with a t5... and my 600W hps for flower.... saves on the Kw's (would like my whole setup to run less then 1000W)

Yeah I feel ya man. 400w for flower that's set in stone and for a mother and clones a 300w cfl like £50 and T5 like £80. Depends how much I yield and make this run tbh. I'm willing to put my money back in to my grow

Heavyweight Fruit Punch;
What can I say about this luscious high grade plant - It's a beautiful plant with smooth, perfectly shaped leaves and it stinks properly nice. It's growth rate is very good, not quite ready for clones but certainly ready for flowering (I want clones first!).


Big Bud;
Although still very very cabbagy, I am actually mesmerised by it's fantastical colours. The new shoots are bright green which turn a few shades darker as they grow out. It'll be very interesting to see how these flower and what changes occur to the colouring and shape of the leaves.

No real concerns at this point, everything appears perfect!

bug bud is an ugly looking brute ... that thing is smack in the face ugly.... but i recon its going to be a handfull when its gets in the flowering cab... and you wont want to try to tame her then cos she'll fill out quick any ideas are you going to pull her open with lst ... or what?

My plans for both of them, is to only flower the clones. I'll let the clones veg for a week or two then throw them in the box quite small. That way at least I'll get a good idea of what they're gonna do when they flower.
Perhaps like the cheese, I'll put one in small and one in a few weeks later bigger.

I think you're right about the ugly brute! LoL Apparently you've got to support the branches after 4 weeks of flower else the weight of the buds WILL cause breakages LoL That alone shows that it's gonna go mad LoL I'm not so sure I'll be keeping this strain. I mean, I have the Budziller which should be a bigger yielder and a ton more potent so hopefully I'll only be keeping the Big Bud for the one cycle maybe two at most.
F/P though, I can see this one making it to my permanent schedule

I got it as a freebie. DNA Lemon Skunk Fem & DNA Sour Cream Fem. The smell is what im worried about. I don't run a carbon filter lol. O well only one way to tell......... haha. Im out of room atm. This bloody humboldt wont show pistils! Don't know what gives. Nearly 2 weeks 12/12.

I also wanna try the Big Bud because of the good yields (mainly why I subbed to see what end up like) Does look FUGLY though haha.

2 to 3 weeks I believe is average for pistels, if you haven't left it to veg long enough to mature. The proper way is to leave it to veg until you see proper pre-flowers, that way once put into 12/12 it should pistelate almost immediately. Or at least within days lol

Big Bud is a commercial strain from the 80's and not high grade. I started it cos I didn't have anything else and wanted to fill my space and it also was a freebie when I bought my Fruit Punch. Aye the yield should be huge compared to the others, but sadly not as strong, as tasty or as expensive to sell. It sells as standard.
The other one that I have started is similar to Big Bud (Budziller). Except the Budziller is proper high grade and set to be the most potent out of all my strains at 24% THC and easily worth £250 an Oz. The yields I'm expecting to be similar to the Big Bud.
Something for you to think about? Only cost me 7 quid for the one seed I should get plenty of clones out of her too.

My intention with Big Bud, is to keep me in smokes for a while, while I'm waiting for others to harvest

I also liked the look of Big Bud x White Widow. Seems popular lately.

Also She is very mature (has a stressful life admittedly) she was like 2.5ft tall before 12/12 with alternating nodes etc. Just may be genetics or something. Maybe light leaks? Who knows. Its a mare trying to control a dark period by manually taking it out of grow cupboard and just leaving it in a dark bedroom. Maybe not dark enough. O well. Worst case its still vegging. When these autos are done my lights going 12/12 anyway. Just will have to tie the bitch down haha.

2.5 ft is obviously mature enough. So yeah, I'd check for leakages. Keeping it in a dark room may not be ideal, but if you have no other choice there's little you can do... have you no cupboards that you can seal up for her? I think that would be better...

No good asking me that 1, I run my entire grow out in the shed! I use heating and venting to control things in a very Blue Peter style. But it does work for me. Won't work for everyone though. I had little choice as have quite a few kids in my house and the wife aint entertaining a 'dope farm' (as she calls it) in the house, which is fair enough really...

Another option is to go buy yourself a cheap second hand wardrobe, or a grow tent.
OR
Put your auto's somewhere else and get them some temporary bulbs... It doesn't really matter about what kind of light they get, colour wise as they'll still do their thing... you could theoretically leave them on 24/0 too if you had to (there are a few strains of auto that don't like this so be careful and check first). Then you'd have the room you need in your cupboard for your photoperiods to get busy

Troutie is also great for ideas, his grow is as makeshift as my own LoL

Make shift is way forward lads! Thanks. Think may be flipping 12/12 when get home then! Think is way forward and I run my lights at night so can open my curtains and leave the autos on the bedroom floor out of view but still getting light. Somethings better then nothing.

Fair enough if have kids around the house.... saves them running in to it.

I agree sometimes its hard to keep up with loads of threads but tbh mine no one there so its easy for me. Most the time I can't even find it myself lmao.
