Fuck i just answered my own question.

It just occurred to me, if I'm in my bathroom smoking, exhaling upwards into the fan, it must vent to the outside or the roof. If i didn't vent outside the building every time i took a shit my upstairs neighbor would smell it, granted pot smoke smell is a lot stronger then most shits i take but same principal.

any advice on keeping the smoke smell at bay?

blow it in a wet towel

they prolly cant smell it tho and in an apartment how can they know its coming from you apt

make a sploof.
