Fuck I think I have another hermie... it smells too good to get rid of though

Now two of my plants are showing these little waxy ball sacks, these ones are in the flower of the plant. I’m keeping them and I’ve accepted I most likely will have seedy weed, I don’t want to chuck two plants and when I grabbed the bud to get a better look at these nanners it smelled like straight up citrus fruit and I can’t bring myself to kill them :( I lost track of which strain was which in my grow but now I’m certain these plants are the sled dawg strain. Additional question: I read after planting it that it’s pretty unstable. Id like to clone a plant I have in flower right now is that possible and how should I go about 5F88867E-1CA1-40BF-B878-F1256693EDD2.jpegdoing that?

If you’re expecting seeds don’t bother cloning, just plant the seeds.
Revegging a flowering plant is possible, but not pretty.
I’m not sure that’s a banana either.
FWIW, any bananas I’ve had never resulted in seeds, just wasn’t enough time for them to form and mature before harvest.

I see them. If you look dead centre of the bud, then slightly too the right. A little bunch.

What's your room like? Do they seem stressed at all? You can get more stable genetics that won't do this to you over and over again. If it keeps happening, then you might have a stress factor you aren't aware of, light leak, etc?

How far into flower are you, you can clone a plant in flower, the further along, the harder it is, but there isn't really much different about it. The cuttings take longer to root, and are more likely to fail in my limuited experience. Also, your chances are lowered because you won't want to take too many cuttings and stress the flowering donor plant, so you won't have much material to work with.

If you really want to keep the one plant, and have time to kill, you'd probably have the best luck by killing your unstable plants off, switching back to 18/6 and revegging the flowering plant you like, then taking clones.

Also - re: "They smell to good to get rid of".....There will always be others, so it depends on your goals.

It's like a chose your own adventure. Finish them all out, and possibly have seeded, but perfectly good bud (including your good plant you want to clone as the pollen would spread), or chop them, re-veg and fill the room back up with a plant you trust before spending any more time.

My thoughts for what they are worth.

Spray them with water and rip them off (be sure to take the whole part of it). If you see more still appearing, I would suggest to take that plant out of grow space eventually trash it. Definitely you need to figure out whats wrong, do you using LED light?

Thanks for the information everyone and tbh I think it’s just an unstable strain because my other three plants are fine and not doing this at all. And they’re all super healthy so I don’t know what could be stressing them. I will check again for a light leak but I didn’t see one before switching to flower and the room the tent is in is very dark when the lights are off, I even have the window blocked off.

Maybe my lights are too strong? They’re at full power and like 12 inches from the tops, spider farmer 2000, 2 of them so 400 watts total

You need to spend some time closed inside to really see what is happening there. Lot of G’s have problems with light leaks from their LEDs when turned off, glowing lights from extension cords, dehu, extractor, smoke detector these all can make a huge mess when they added to grow space during flowering...

Don’t send this guy on a wild goose chase.
No plant hermies from a smoke detector or extension cord light.
