For the sake of historical accuracy...The Protestant/Catholic conflict was actually not sectarian/religious based under it all. Ultimately it was a territorial conflict. However the Loyalist side was 99% Protestant due to a loyalty to the Queen (Head of their brand of Protestantism) and the Republicans (99% Catholic) were loyal to the Irish Republic. There were however small numbers of Republican Protestants and Loyalist Catholics. It was a whole cultural difference on a divided island, not a religious based conflict. It's be like saying a war against India is a war against Hindus when in reality it isn't.
