yah, we run an oil furnace / boiler for our heat.. just got oil for the first time since before summer on like thurs or weds.. $4.25 a gallon, and we got like 100 gallons..
once winter hits full bore, we'll go through about 200 gallons or so every month, month and half... shit's fucking crazy for sure..

will do meggy sue, lol... the valley, does that mean that you have mountains near you somewhere?? that's the nice thing about cali.. some places you're not too far from the beach, and not too far from the mountains and skiing and snowboarding in the winter time...

nj's kind of like that, but the mountains around here, well in pa., are like lil ant hills compared to lots of other ski places.. but i guess it's a good place to learn as i'd probably kill myself on a bigger mountain for sure..

basically its a valley in the middle of ca. its one of the most fertile places, we grow cherries, almonds, walnuts, asparagus, etc. Also lots of violent crime in the cities and highest forclosure rate in the country for a while

I burn kero because the tank is outside. does not help the heat stays up around 74. what killed me last year is that it got so cold early and did not let up.I do have a fire place, but that only keeps the living room warm and have to keep feeding it every two hours or so to keep it blazing

how much does kero run per / gallon oh?? we just got a new boiler and shit only a few years ago.. we were thinking of changing to maybe like forced hot air or idk, anything other then oil, lol...
our house is super old, we've got damn steam radiators for heat here, lol... the nice thing about them though is that the heat they put out is very moist, so it's a plus for my plants during the winter instead of being that damn hot dry air that a lot of other types of heating create..

The only snow in Los Anchorage is on the mountains. It's down to the level the houses are at so it won't be long now. Actually the forecast calls for snow today and the next few days but predicting weather here in Alaska is like winning the lottery.
