Thank you for dropping in Lacey. I hope you'll enjoy it.
I dropped in on the plants, and they are all looking great. They were a bit over-watered yesterday after the mosquito dunk drenching they got a few days ago, but they are looking tons better now. The gnat population seems to be cut by 40% or so. Its definitely noticeable. Im unsure how much affect the layer of perlite is having in conjunction. Hopefully it will keep the adults from laying new eggs while the BT in the dunks kills the larvae.
The ED's and other bagseeds all have much less gnats as well. I wish I could say they look great, but they dont. First the new soil burned them, then they got over-watered from the mosquito dunk drenching, and are now experiencing nutrient deficiencies. Im sure they'll pull out of it when they recover from the over-watering. I also have two plants that I thought had a more damaging case of nute burn than the rest, but was actually being burned up by the cooltube. This is the second type of cool-tube Ive used. Home-made, and a Hydrofarm one, and both have burned plants. The Hydrofarm one burns them directly under the base of the bulb. Ill definitely not be using them in the future. Air cooled reflectors are much better. No hot spots or burning on my plants. The light has been raised 6-8 inches and the plants rotated moving the badly affected ones further away. Ill be checking tomorrow again to see if the new distance is high enough. My plants always seem to have a rough start to their lives, but eventually Ill get them to the point where they are thriving like above.
I also picked up my notes that I took 2-3 days ago, so I thought Id give some updates on the strains. Note: There is alot of numbers below, and dont read further if you dont like detailed updates. Even if you dont, I suggest you do the same when growing your own plants if you are searching for a future mother, or perhaps father. I wish I had done this from the beginning, but now is as good a time as any to start.

Only a couple of plants stand out. One male and one female. The male has a respectable H/D ratio, but his lateral branching is where he shines along with huge beatiful leaves, and thick strong stems. The female also shares the same H/D ratio, but she gets one star less because her lateral branching isn't as good. The other ones are all on the slow side, and have modest at best lateral branching with a couple of them being awful thus their lower score. The two standouts are definitely knocking boots with each other.
Ive read Deep Chunk is very dominating in crosses, but it doesn't look like it passed on its tight internodal development, but it definitely passed on the slow growth its known for, as well as its lack of good side branching. I do love the fat fan leaves the father passes on. They are also continuing to grow larger and longer. One's leaves has grown a full inch longer within the last week and sit at 8 inches long. Im gonna grab a few good pics of it today.
I just hope I get some of those super frosty Deep Chunk genes in them, if Im lucky.

I just realized the strain description I posted has it listed as mostly Indica, but its mostly Sativa. This explains the tall colas and long internodes, but she's still
got great vigor compared the other strains. Ill let her sleep with a few boys. Hopefully she's a good smoke, and Ill have some interesting stuff in the future to grow.

The male grew 3 inches in this time give or take a half inch margin of error Id say is safe to give all the plants. The female grew 1 inch. They both have modest side branching. I dont feel there is anything worthy here to breed with or even bother with f2's, so the male will be culled soon.

The females have grown/stretched noticeably in this time, but the male hasn't.
At this time the females have exceeded his growth by two nodes, yet they are also 8 inches taller than him, and not quite as branchy as he is, but close. I still like him for breeding, as well as both of his sisters.

I was hoping for a bit more vigor out of these guys, but Im not surprised at the H/D ratio. O. Haze is one tall lanky strain. It only looks like plant G has expressed its Skunk #1 heritage. He'll be bred with my females, and hopefully bring down the internodal distance for the F2 generation. The plants also have amazing side-branching, so that is always a plus. Hopefully I get alot of nice mini colas in addition to the main colas for some bumped up yield. I have seen some pics of indoor plants that yielded 5-7 ounces, so maybe Im in for a treat.

The Satori are obviously the slowest growing plants in the tent. Im very disappointed with their vigor. Ive always read Satori is a strong fast growing plant, but not so in my case. I still have a couple of males that have a chance to breed, but it will likely only be Satori B. He's got great lateral branching, huge serrated leaves, and the thickest stems Ive seen on his dominant colas. This plant would laugh at you if you tried to supercrop it.

As you can see from the numbers, the Purps are quite vigorous and excellent. Two weeks younger than the rest, and they are barely behind the Chunky Cinderellas, and Satori. If they had been started at the same time as the rest, I bet they would be the stars of the tent right now. They tied JTR in the height/development ratio, so I have to say Im quite impressed with this bagseed. I just hope it doesn't go hermie on me like the last few I grew. Their outdoor siblings are all looking excellent as well. We've had plenty of rain this last week, so I haven't had to tend to them. Ill need to go and feed them later today though.
**I calculate rating for each plant based mostly upon H/D ratio, lateral branching. I will also add in smell in the future. At the moment, it is hard to discern smell from one to the next with so many strains, but that should change once they get into budding.
