i've been debating the 3x 600's (2hps/1mh) vs 2x 1000's hps for this 6x10 room... a lot of heat either way i guess, butso you don't ventilate anymore after installing the thru wall a/c, even for "fresh air" occassionally in veg/flower? i have a thru wall 6500- just figured i'd leave it on 24/7 (fan always on, cool cycling @ 80F), and yes use the individual controlled humidifier, dehum, vortex heater fan, etc if necessary. i thought co2-4e control hooked to inlet damper/hepa & outlet fan, sync'ing with co2 off, to bring in fresh air for ~10 minutes every hour... but if others with a/c can grow well without having to bring in regular fresh air (no $$controller$$ necessary, no $$co2$$ exhausted) ?!Endless..
Despite having vented hoods, three 600's and a dehumidifier still get the canopy temps above 85. I was using the xgc1 for vent control. (one inlet and one outlet fan) but yeah, I hated wasting all that co2 so I finally installed a
small window AC in thr wall. Even though it doesn't run that much, definitely NOT the best option and will try to install a spilt AC unit this summer.
To be honest, the xgc 1 is great but the only things I am using in it are the co2 and hydro cycle timer. I got mine for $450 or so via craigs list, so still an awesome deal but if I were buying new ibwouldny just make sure all the things that the XGC1 would have controlled have built in controls. (ac, dehumidifier, heater, pump timer) etc
Thanks for subbing! I actually reconfigured everything last week to take my veg room out of the flower room so i have more room for buds
no air lol. and damn man, you must have a big stock of co2 tanks in storage?! any reason you don't use a co2 burner? wait i thought plants need oxygen at night? guess you prove that one wrong. so i don't really even *need* a ventilating timer...!?Lol. The only "fresh air" that my plants need comes in a #20 lb tank in the corner of the room.
Split ac units are the SHIT! No air exchange, super effecient, and they take up little space. The biggest issue with the regular air con in the wall is that it pumps heat and ALLOT of moisture into the house. Like allot. My co2 usage is 7-800 for first 2 weeks of veg, then around a 1,000 for weeks 3-4. 1,200 for all 12/12 except 1500 for weeks 4,5,6. The last two weeks I am planning on using around 600 tops. I have read some negative reports on the effects on high co2 during the ripening phase.
Cheers.
Oh yeah, that is an odd dimension for a flower room size. I would go 600's if you don't have much height. 1,000 if you do.
szhit!yeah well i just discovered bud rot in about 5 buds fuck fuck fuck
