funky headband

has anyone else noticed how certain strains are prone to certain finicky deficiencies?

i have 3 headband plants sharing a space with 2 NYCDs and a WMD. the NYCDs and WMD are doing just fine, but my headband has a funky problem on some of her leaves that seems to emanate some kind of reddish burn from the area of the veins of the leaf.

i have a few guesses right now and am going back to re-check the sticky on this, but maybe other people can share stories about other strains that have similarly finicky tastes in treatment.

just to provide all the information i can, i should mention that this headband that i have is also the first to lose lower leaves. most of my strains stay fairly green and solid all over even until harvest, but my headband's smallest lower leaves turn yellow and then brown and dry and fall off (or are removed).

this is the first time i am seeing any problem on the upper leaves.

i present le coveted pics. thank you to all in advance for any insight or above average trolling.

also, just for anyone wishing to present a diagnosis:

they are 4 weeks into flower, in 2 gallon containers, using roots organic 'greenlite' soil, watered for the first two weeks after transplant, 1 dosing of fox farm nutes (tiger, big bloom, and grow big), another watering since then, under a 250 watt HPS, from clone, not sure if it's the original headband or the other kind.

also, for anyone wishing to present a quick fix:

no worries, i have this under control for now. i will flush them when they are due for next watering and nute them like normal after that. if the problem persists, i will simply remove leaves as needed until harvest, they should be fine as this problem has been very slow to spread.

also, no bugs. i can spot bugs by now, and i even pulled out my loupe to inspect this one. no bugs, just some sort of deficiency or funkiness going on, i suspect.

i'm guessing over-nuting right now, but the stickies always leave me with more guesses, not less.

i'm going down to water & no nutes on the headband for a while. if the problem persists, who knows.

darn finicky strains.

looks like too much or too little iron or a micro def. or overdose go with plain water for a few days if it gets better it was a nute lockout. if it doesnt you need to throw a vitamin pill in your water.

check the ph of your water runoff

i agree something is up with iron or MAG. i have had some funky shit happen from a boron def once thought that looked similar to this

you guys just saved me from my confusion, it's the magnesium.

i bought a bottle of cal mag a couple years back for a deficiency. it didn't work, but i would usually throw a little when i nuted anyway. figured it couldn't hurt.

well, that bottle of cal mag finally ran out a month or two ago before these guys went into flower.

looks like tomorrow just got $16 more expensive.

thanks guys!

my tap water has abundant amounts of calcium and magnesium. You could check if you'rs have as well and just mix 20% tap water in your solution.

or vitamin pills that the only micronute i use. they are water soluble and all ready in it lowest molecular form because it is mean for human use
