Fusing Lobes

I think I got a mix up with seeds as this plant is weeks behind flowering, all seeds were labelled as autos, my other autos have been in flower for 4 weeks, this one looks a lot different and has been on a 12/12 schedule for 2 weeks to induce flowering but no luck yet, she is punching the new growth and is becoming tall and wide, no preflower. I have noticed some leaves are 9 lobed and are showing fusion. Is this a genetic or stress related?

With autos I’ve noticed you don’t need to induce them with 12/12, they’ll go when they’re ready and you can still do 16 hrs of sun

The other autos started showing sex at 3 weeks and are on 18 hours - all a little over 7 weeks now, there are two which did not flower and for last two weeks I have tried to induce flowering with 12/12. They are still throwing out new growth plenty of height and width and theyre so much bigger than the autos in the other tent and now I am noticing the fused leaves on one. No light leaks etc. Should I leave them on the 12/12? Outdoors is not an option.

Seed genetics are kind of like people they vary from one to the other, if they’re still throwing new growth let it happen, if you have the room or if not can top and manipulate that’d be best, otherwise you could try regular light and slowly try to add bloom nutes and see what happens

Sometimes leaves grow out with a little fusion and is just one of those things. The number of fingers is strain related with sativas having many more than indicas. I've had sativas with 17 fingers and indicas with a max of 5.

I planted 8 fem autos mid June. 4 each of 2 strains and only got one fem auto out of the batch. They were for outside and I wanted 2 of each out there. One strain hi-CBD and the other hi-THC.

5 turned male the 2 left in the garden have 9-fingered leaves like yours and are different strains. Neither have shown sex tho I'm thinking they are female regulars so I'm tarping them over at 9pm and opening up at 9 am to see if I can induce flowering a little early as I'm way up north in Alberta so don't have a long time to grow out regulars here.

I collected pollen from 2 of the CBD boys and used it mixed to dust a branch on the one CBD girl I got today. At least I'll get some regular seeds out of the deal. I'm going to dust another lower branch with the THC male that produced pollen as soon as I collect it tomorrow.

My first try at growing autos outdoors after 20 years of indoors was a dismal failure this year. Hopefully by next spring I'll have better seeds even if I have to make them myself! Will be using STS to make fem seeds of a few strains this winter.

Good luck with yours!

:peace:
