fuzzy growth

hello RIU. when I went to check my plants today I notice a fuzzy whitish grey growth on the top of the soil in 1 of my containers can anyone tell me if this will be harmful to my plants. I removed the top 1" of soil off an replace with a fresh layer. I also misted the new layer with a 1:10 part peroxide:water mix. Is there anything else I should do?

The best way I can describe it is that it looked kinda like dust bunnies from under the bed. I will upload photo if it has return in morning. Its lights out right now for my girls.

You shouldn't have anything growing on top your soil expect your plant.
