Gage Green Genetic's (Tester Beans) 5K x OGJO

I got these tester beans from Gage Green a while back, but I had other strains that I had to run first,. Just like their Grape Puff which I just absolutely loved. Anyways they gave me about 15 tester beans a while back, and I gave a few to my buddy. The beans that I got had 5K x OG on them. I am wondering if these are actually the 5k Puff that they already released. He popped 5 seeds, and he got 2 females that are looking really nice. I also gifted him an extra OG #18 plant that I didn't have room for in my garden. He has his 3 plants under a 400w Cooltube in a closet. I think he used Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil. He is using a local blend of nutrients to feed his plants. They are really green. I am starting to think that they might have way to much nitrogen and could possibly be overdosed on N. They still look good and healthy. The smell on the "Frosty" pheno of the 5k x OG cross just smells crazy as hell. It is sweet, but I don't smell any fuel or anything reminding me of an OG yet. The other pheno , which I have named "Big Bud" has fat ass buds going all the way down the branches. It looks like a really good yielder. The smell on this one is quite a bit different. It is kind of musky, but you can smell some fuel in there. Overall I am happy with how his plants are coming along. I am also happy that I have 10 more of thesebeans for myself in the future.

Anyways I believe he is on about Day 35 of 12/12. I am just guessing though. I will try to get a couple more different shots between now and harvest time. I will be sure to give some kind of smoke report with it too. Although it is a tad bit away before I will get a chance to do that. Stay tuned and let me know what you think!

I'm just starting a run of their Sour Grapes...first one is looking very nice. I ran one through last fall and really like the smoke.

I've grown out there Grape Puff, and that shit was just awesome. It is a pure connoisseur strain. I had 2 pheno's that stayed short, and the other one got fairly big and yielded more. They all tasted great, but the smaller two that didn't yield that much were much better. I also grew out a Cherry Puff. It was descent, but I don't think it was close to being as good as the Grape Puff's. I only grew 1 plant out though, so I imagine that there are better pheno's to be had in those packs. I still have 10 beans of their Cherry Puff left for future use.

The Sour Grapes is just another name for their Grape Stomper. At least that is what I remember off the top of my head, but I may be wrong. I'm assuming you are running Gage Green Genetics there with your Sour Grapes.

I know Apothecary has a strain called Sour Grapes. Plus, Hazeman has something called White Sour Grapes or something similar to that. Imagine there are a lot of other breeders with a strain in their stable called Sour Grapes. The GGG Grape Stomper BX AKA Sour Grapes is the strain that I am assuming you are talking about. That's why I am asking for you to clarify.

Plus if anyone knows what the exact heritage of this strain of 5K x OG is, I would just love to know. I am starting to doubt that it is the 5K Puff cause it is Hola Lighting x OG which apparently is not the same. So would someone enlighten me on this PLEASE! I am really curious!

i did a run of the (jr) very old school smoke imo..very nice.

Yea...the "aka Grape Stomper BX"...now, I can't say with 100% certainty that the strain I have is in fact that one, but I'm satisfied that it is. A grower/friends kid "accidentally" germ'd her stash of fem seeds she had been getting online and put her over-count...so she gave me several different strains...names but no specifics...the SG being one of them...she actually called it Sour Grape [no S] but shes not really into those kinds of details where I am.

I like to know specifically what I'm working with and did a ton of research reading grow journals and reviews to identify them...the SG was hard because there is a bunch of Sour Grape but not much info on Sour GrapeS online. It wasn't until I came across GG's site through some journal, read their description and seen that pic they have of it that I was sure I'd found it, the pics were identical to the first one I harvested.

Here's a shot of the one I've got in bud right now with 6 more after her...she's about 25 days into bud here, taken a couple weeks ago. The mother of the other 6 clones. Sorry my camera sucks.

The Grape Puff that I grew out had a very distinct sour grape smell as soon as the frost started to show. It was an unmistakable sour grape smell. You should be able to tell if it is the real deal just by the smell I would imagine. I haven't grown the GSbx, but I heard that it is very similar to the Grape Puff and most of the other Grape Stomper crosses with some minor differences.

The little round plactic seed holder that has some kind of black styrofoam inside of it to hold the seeds in place. On the outside of it it had 5K 2 x OG written on it.
At least I think it has the #2 after 5K. It looked kind of smudged, so I couldn't make it out clearly. Maybe it says 5K Z x OG.

yup! and really heavy crystal...looked like the buds had been rolled in powdered sugar. The one I grew out was sistered with a Sour Diesel and the difference was visually noticable all throughout the grow.

Well, it looks like I made a mistake when I was talking about the plants in these pics. My buddy told me that the plant with the big buds is actually a Dinafem Critical+. I went over there yesterday and he told me this. Lol! The other plant is really photogenic though. It is definitely the tester bean. It is just coated with sugar. It is one of the prettiest plants I have ever seen!

wish I had some ggg stuff. Ive been on the hunt for a little bit lol. just popped me some ak, fruity chronic juice, green poison, dessert diesel, and cotton candy kush. but wish it was all diff, ggg

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to get any more pics of the plants before he harvested them. The Critical+ yielded pretty damn good, but I didn't care for the smoke at all. I t could be the wau he dried it out and such. The GGG Tester plant turned out pretty good. It reminds me of a really good kind of sweet fruity smell and taste and the buds are covered in trichs. It isn't the most potent, but it sure does taste good! I wish I had more pics for you guys and gals, but I will pop these eventually and let everyone see what they are about.

I am assuming that you are talking about the GGG Grape Puff. If you are talking about the Grape Puff, I do have a grow journal on here somewhere. I haven't figured out the new RIU layout yet, so I will try my best to post you a link to it. There are plenty of GP journals on here, and they all look great imo!,
