I snapped the top of my sugarpunch trying to tie it down... It broke about 3/4 of the way through maybe a little more, it wasn't hanging by much.. I taped it up and so far only one set of leaves wilted on it.. I hope it heals itself.. I probably should've just used it for a clone.

I snapped one of mine and I about cried. Lol. I swear I was being soooo careful too. I have taped branches in the past, but it didn't work. The earlier you start to train the better, but they sure are fragile.

i use the aluminum tape.. it is awesome. adds rigidity to it and you can repair and sculpt it back into place. works fantastic.

I've done the same thing. broke one off watering. what a dumb ass, huh. I took a bamboo skewer and cut it down and used it like a splint on a broken arm. When she healed that cola was HUGE!!! Glad to hear it is doing better, could be good things in the future!

Sucks. I wish I would have tried harder to fix mine, I was just so bummed. I've had a few break and I've taped them, but this was a clear snap and I couldn't get them to touch and hold right. After reading these I doubt if I will throw out another even if a more advanced cast is needed. I could have took a piece of bamboo or a longer piece of heavy duty wire and pushed it into the dirt as a prop for the heavy branch too. Thanks guys.

I think that sticky mesh stuff for cuts would work great, not sure what it's called but I used to have some, it's green colored and when you wrap it around a cut finger a few times and press it around it turns into almost a cast..

She's looking great this morning.. it's amazing cause that thing was snapped damn near all the way off. I guess it's no different than grafting though. I fixed it up a little more today, staked it up and tied it to that real good. Should be good to go.

Now that's a good idea. Thats a real cast! I used my shurtape for my exhaust hoses, but that was a break where it wasn't completely seperated. I will have some of that mesh shit within the week. Hopefully then, I will never break a branch again and I'll never get to try it. lol

My first grow, I broke the main stalk trying to tie it down.

Now I top, super crop, and use a trellis(scrog). Just pinch the stalk.
