I had a brush fire a couple of years ago near my outside garden. Never reached the plants themselves but the smoke smell ruined the crop, smelled and tasted like smoke

Ya..
I had bout 1000 acres burn on my ranch (common out here)

Nothing but charred mesquite and black earth. I thought coolio bet this would be great to grow in.

It was..

But the buds when broken up left your fingers black from collected char and ash.
