Gary Cohn jumps ship

WASHINGTON — In the latest staff shakeup to rattle the White House, President Trump’s most senior economic adviser, former investment banker Gary Cohn, will leave his post in a few weeks, it was announced Tuesday. Cohn leaves after scoring a victory with a vast tax-cut law but suffering a defeat with the looming imposition of U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

“It has been an honor to serve my country and enact pro-growth economic policies to benefit the American people, in particular the passage of historic tax reform,” Cohn said in a statement distributed by Trump’s press office. “I am grateful to the President for giving me this opportunity and wish him and the Administration great success in the future.”

“Gary has been my chief economic advisor and did a superb job in driving our agenda, helping to deliver historic tax cuts and reforms and unleashing the American economy once again,” Trump said in a statement. “He is a rare talent, and I thank him for his dedicated service to the American people.”

Cohn’s departure raised questions about ongoing economic issues — like the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) binding the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He was a known supporter of the pact. (unlike the dickhead in charge)

Good fucking riddance (too late though), seeing as it was Cohn's brainchild for the ridiculous tax breaks given to the rich and the corporations, but not too me. (just finished my taxes, and I want to puke)

But, the funny part is that he called Trump an asshole for his tariff plan, and that's why he quit.
He got what he and his friends wanted, which was a massive tax break (he personally saved millions), so now, he's running for the door.

He made his money, but I guess he figured it was time to get out of Dodge before Trump's economic plans, that he authored mostly, destroy this economy, and it is right around the corner, like in trade wars.

“When we’re behind every single country, trade wars aren’t so bad,” Trump said Tuesday in a press conference at the White House with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven. “The trade war hurts them, not us.”

Oh yea, you fat fuck?

Watch what NASDAQ and the DJIA thinks tomorrow, and somehow I don't think it will be nice.

He got his plum. Now he wants to go into private sector to enjoy the fruits of his effort. He's been pushing for that tax cut for years.
