So the reality is that I don’t quite have the ceiling height for the 1000de Gavitas but I do for the 750 Flex.. Where I am the supplier only brought in the 1000’s though because the pricepoint between the two is actually pretty close. Is there any reason why I couldn’t just run a 1000 and dim it a bit? I do realise it will affect the efficiency a bit but the positive is if I do find myself in a bigger room one day I could then just dial it up.. Anyone out there running dimmed Gavita 1000 Pro’s..?

Yeah, I run a DE 1000W @ 750W. It's not a Gavita but same issue. My ceiling height is just a bit too low and I've burned some tops before @ 1000W. I've heard that it's hard on the bulb (1000W bulb) and you don't get the correct spectrum but it's worked for me so far. I have some touchy hermie leaning plants so I don't change anything throughout flowering, that includes different wattage's.
Thanks man.. I’m assuming it’s not possible to put a 750w lamp into a 1000 and just run it at 750 or 825?

nice light but try a bigger hood if u need more spread & have height restrictions
I have three foot so it’s not too bad.. too little for a 1000de though I’d say..?

Big plants can handle 1000d/e 3ft away but small plants 4-6ft above the canopy
