GDDMIT!!! My favorite strain wont root! What a nightmare

My favorite weed right now is Blue dream. A very unique high, I love everything about it. I got clones from the same club that I travle 45 miles sometimes 4 times a week to get the blue dream, the only one of its kind that ive smoked. Only saw one tray of Blue dream cuts one time I went in there and I got the last 2. Never saw it again. One of them is in flower and the other is a donor.

I use oasis to root my cuttings. first 4 days 1/4 inch standing water with clonex, hygrozyme solution at 5.8 ph. Use clonex gel to root. keep A dome on for the first week misting them 2 times daily. After a week the dome comes off. I usually get 100% success at this and I see roots by day 7. Always.

Now the 2 blue dream I cloned about 12 days ago are still without roots even though one of them has grown 3 more nodes, A FREAK! I give them about a tablespoon of water to moisten the dry oasis in the mornings.

Ive never had a strain not root. And it s really hard when its your favorite strain that somehow you possess the genetics after looking for so long and you run into something like this. Why dont clones root?

Really need some ideas on this one. Anyone with first hand experience? Success stories. Let me know. +rep:eyesmoke:

sounds like its trying to much to veg and not enough to make roots, try doing this, what type of light are they under? try putting them in, a cup over them then a small book over that, as to cover the plant, still exposing it to light, but not directly, sometimes they need to be let know, hey fucker its time to grow roots. good luck

edit - try using just plant 5.8 water no nutes no hygro no nothing, just 5.8 (use misters if you have em, they are so much better) plain water, dont give them a chance to think its veg time yet

The clones are under a 4 bulb t5 but not directly under the light. My other clones are just about ready to transplant. My blue dream mother is about ready to give me about 8-10 cuts. Maby try to root some in pearlite? Anyone out there done that? I tried cloning the small bottom branches and put them into soil and they all died. Ive never had so many clones die on me. All in all I think this is a good time to learn a little more about cloning.

ive only ever rooted in rockwool and aeroponic misters, 99.9999 percent sucess with aero and like 80-90 sometimes lower with shittier strains perlite drains faster maybe it will help in theory

check the temps low soil/root site can cause a strain to not grow roots

I to know the stress of having clones that wont root and are pretty much the last of there kind I just lost superskunk xhaze can't find it any where and the site got busted that sold the seeds

I need to take 8 blue dreams today! I have a 60 site e-z cloner aero unit thats gonna take about $40 to get it back up to par. Buy all new pieces for it. Should I use the oasis still and possibly get clones that don't root? I really want a 100% success.

Checked the rooting blue dreams at 12 days and nothing. They dont even hold on to the cube. I pulled one out and redipped it and put it into a new cube. The thing didnt even have bumps. Yet both of them have been growing. I just took 7 new bluedreams this afternoon. My hydro store guy told me to add a small dose of bloom and another root stimulator to the concoction that I normally use in the standing water, clonex solution and hygrozyme. So Im trying it out. I didnt have any money to spend and I had a bottle of bio-bizz root juice I didnt know you could use on cuttings. The oasis tray sits in standing water for the first 4 days 5.8PH.

i personally think your plants are trying to veg instead of trying to root, preventing them to produce the necessary hormones to grow roots

Emptied the standing water today and this is the condition I found them in. Why are thier leaves all bunched up and not spread out?? I hope they make it through that. Took out 1 blue dream so as you can see theyre is 6 new ones and the one closest to the bottom was redipped. Alot of them look bad, my sour d, grape ape and one of my whiteberrys.

will a heating mat under the tray make a difference? Like I said, Ive never had problems getting cuts to root Until now. I can run to the hydro store today and get one if it means all the difference.
