GDP turning dark after trimmed and jarred.

Hi everyone,

I harvested my GDP plant about 9-10 days ago. I did a rough partial wet trim at harvest because my humidity is fairly high right now (between 60%-70% with a portable AC + a separate dehumid running outside the tent) they hung in darkness at 69deg - 73deg for 7-8 days, the stems snapped but didn't break so I started the final manicure and put them into jars and stored them in a dark room at 68 deg. I have burped and fluffed them daily since going in the jars. The burps were very fast (5-10mins) since the hygrometer in each jar was holding stable at 60% RH for 24 hours. Are they over dried since the humidity isn't going up?

When I put them in, they were bright green. After a few days in the jar, they have gotten darker. It's my first grow and I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it just the chlorophyll breaking down?

Pics below, one is immediately after trimming, the jar pic is about 2 days after closing them up. They smell strong and have lost the grass smell. The smell almost makes your nose burn a bit. I don't think it's mold, but I also have never seen or smelled moldy bud in person. Thoughts anyone?

If my budz too wet it goes dark jarred early. Seems to go lighter when nice and dry. Id pull it all out let it dry maybe.

What do the jars smell like?
The jars smell like bud. The smell has gotten less intense over the last couple days. There is the slightest grass smell to them from the partial wet trim, but that should hopefully go away after the cure.

I expected my buds to be slightly wetter than what is ideal because of the humidity right now in my house, but the hygrometers in the jars are holding stable at 59%-61% so I think that is good. Should I keep burping the jars every day if the RH is already stable?

Those little hydrometers are notoriously inaccurate, I have a few dozen and they read +- 5% at best
Should still be able to see if RH is rising or falling but the absolute number should be taken with a grain of salt.

Definitely, I noticed that as well. My 5 pack I bought read in a 7% range sitting out on the table. I also have a boveda butler that can be calibrated to test the actual RH, the small ones are just to monitor changes like you said. Should I still be burping daily if the RH is holding steady? I plan on adding 62% boveda packs after the first week.
