general hydroponics cocotek? prerinsed?

I was wondering if anyone knew if the general hydroponics cocotek was pre rinsed? i dont think it is unless i'm doin somthin wrong. I moistened the brick with r o water and the ppms is over 1000. so i think i should rinse it with more RO water until low enuf ppm? seems to me that it must b full of sea salts? I'm adding some to my soil mix but i dont want bad salts that may throw off ph or just kill plants. please someone with knowledge on this chime in.... I have used the botainicare block n know its pre rinsed but this label on gh doesnt say rinsed

I just remembered that i had put a few shovel fulls of soil, so im hoping that was it.

Most of the bricks arent pre washed.. Some companies like Canna sell the stuff thats pre rinsed. If it doesnt say on the bag then its probably not pre rinsed. I'd rinse that shit over and over.

thanks. cuz i dont think like a decent shovel full of soil cookn would put it up that high! any suggestions on how? Ive think i'll put in pillow case in rinse over tub or can or watever. thats all that came to mind without losing lots of product

When I used to run hydro I would do coco.. When I would use the brick coco coir I would just dump it in a trash bag and poke a bunch of holes on the sides and bottom of the trash bag.. easy peezy!

i went to the value shop an bought some pillow cases, i doubled them up and used 4 doubled up pillow cases lol doubled doubled..... medicated.... well the 4 bags i seperated the whole moistened brick in there equally and then stacked them up, poured R O water through em. I stacked 2 at a time and after i put 10 gals in i checked the ppm an it dropped 3/4. I did about 5 to 10 an it was like 30 did a lil more an then put into the rinsed trash can, then i put a new pillow case full under the bottom from previous stack and start over. after that i rinsed with just tap water, it went down to 200ish so i'll do that with rest then dump R O over that. I think that would be better then waisting all the RO. N i would think doing the final rinse with the R O water should get the tap residuals out? anyways thanks !
