General Hydroponics

Hey guys im trying to figure out what nutes I need to buy and how to mix them. Ive picked out General Hydroponics because it seems the simplest.

I found this table of what to mix per us gallon on there website. Is this optimum for cannabis? assuming that it is, since I have a 10 gallon res and im putting roughly 8 gallons of water in I would just multiply everything by 8 correct?

start with about half the recommended, and buy a ppm meter..... you should also flush your res weekly and i highly recommend RO water....

what is RO water?

reverse osmosis... most grocery stores sell it.. you just put your conainer under the spout and fill up.. i pay .35/gallon or so.... but the ph is perfect.... and no chlorine/bleach etc... when i use my ppm meter on it, it reads 40 when i measure my tap water its around 300 ppm

I follow this formula and you are correct in your math. I also live in a place where water levels have a very low TDS level. I only flush every 2 months when I was doing aeroponics.

I'm currently using this same formula in soil (5" square pots) along with 1000 ppm hydrogen peroxide and water every 36 hours or so, so the plants act as more of an ebb and flow hydroponics system, and get roughly 3 1/2 - 4 oz per month off of a 270 watt HPS (9 plants, 4 feet^2, pH 6.5, seedling soil, LST technique).

where can i get a good ppm meter? Anyone wanna recommend me one they already have that works good?

well my ppm meter was 40 bucks at www.midwesthydroponics.com and it works fantastic.

any hydro sore should have it..... i like to think (dont add if ya cant measure) keeps us out of trouble lol
