General input for this plant?

This is my first grow. She’s been in veg for 8 weeks now. She has grown very slow, and there have been a few issues, but i believe the “stretch” phase is happening now? Just wanted some general how’s she looking, what do you notice, anything i should change or watch out for? I have tons of pistils and no balls (yet, fingers crossed) so hoping that’s a good sign that she hasn’t stressed too too badly? Advice on how much longer to leave her before switching? I did have the biggest fan leaves turn yellow and fall, but I’ve been keeping her fed with 10-10-4 slow release fertilizer so I’m not sure why the leaves were having a rough time. Just repotted yesterday into the 5 gallon in the pictures, i had to keep her in the 1 gal as long as possible.

"Stretch" won't happen until you flip to 12/12 for flower. If your limited on space, I'd be thinking of flipping real soon, because when it does "stretch" it will get possibly double its current height.

I feel like the stems/stalks aren’t strong enough to flip yet. Anything I can do to get them to beef up? Also, what’s your recommended combo of odor control/elimination? It’ll be in a 2x4 tent for flower, i have no smells yet.

Just get some bamboo plant stakes and use those to support the plants if you need to.

Stems will elongate and stiffen up after the flip.The limbs will become more woody and less pliable .GL

I had no idea that it changed like that during flowering! All this time I was wondering when it would start getting hefty like most pics lol. So would you say she looks alright? It seemed like something is going on just hoping a seasoned grower might be able to identify any symptoms they see.

Literally, snap them in half? Or use scissors? will they split again like they were topped? trying to keep them as short as possible, I’m not looking to get a huge amount lol.

No you grab the stem and twist it using both thumbs and index fingers you twist in opposite directions, give it a look on you tube, look up kyle kushmens chriopratics

You could give a teaspoon of unscented Epsom salt with your next watering in case it needs Mag or S.

Ohhh okay, lol, like mushing up the insides. I’ll look more into that. Wish i could figure out how to leave “likes”, I can’t find the button anywhere. Thank you for you help!!

Pictures like this are why I think I’m doing something so wrong lollll that plant looks fucking amazing dude. I had new seedlings close to the light, planted them deeper, and topped yet they still kept stretching up. I keep seeing these stout young plants stacking their nodes but mine just keep going up. maybe it’s because of lst? but those young ones with no ties or clips confuse me. mine won’t stay short and stout lol

Thanks for both of your answers, i was scared to add any salts because a few weeks ago i had a lot of salt-looking build up in my soil. It’s had some flushes since then so I think that may help out. Soo much information and I like to take it slow in changing/adding just to keep watch.

comes down to training and learning how they grow. I've been at this awhile. And do have a few tricks up my sleeve. I grow most of mine by bending them over alot. once hormone in top is gone there will be no dominate top. All branches will be tops.

Plants run at a fast pace, flushing with too much water just starves them for a bit and causes other issues .Read the plant and look at new growth for clues.Lower leaves look hungry,if it were overfed there would be very green clawed leaves or burnt tips.

The top leaves are looking clawed and some burnt tips, you can sort of see in the picture. Is that indicative of over feeding then?

Slow release fertilizer is tough to manage,most people feed a water soluble fertilizer such as Jack's or Maxibloom at half strength and work from there.Its better to have too little than too much.
