General Newbie Growing Questions

Hi, im a complete noob when it comes to growing and i have a few questions.

Basically i wish to grow indoors, nothing to big either.. maybe 2-3 plants.
And i am wondering what are the key points of making this a success.
I have read through https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/937-how-grow-marijuana.html.

So far all i know is:
I need a small fan
Heat lamp
Water that has the right ph level too it

What kind of seeds are used to make this --> http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/marijuana-leaf.jpg
And where can i get these seeds.
I see many sites selling seeds but they end up looking like this -->

I dunno if these are good or not but they look ugly too me.

Also i have no idea how to process the shit.
By process i mean what i need to do to get it off the plant and ready to sell in a baggie.

Other than the 3 things i listed at the top what else would i need..
Like a grinder/scale or w/e i dont really know.

Anyways if i could get some direct links to stuff and not just a link to a site with 1000 different seeds that would be great.

I will be checking on this thread very frequently.

Do some searches.

Look at the seed strain review forum.

Read the Growfaqs.

That picture you supplied helped "0".

Read the faqs....Best place to start.

Just finished watching I Grow Chronic! by Mr.Green and seem to be alot more educated about the matter :)

I see that what im looking for is just the buds in the leaf and not the huge leafs.. what i thought was that the huge leafs were smokable too, you just had to process them or something.

Still not really sure though because this guys shit was hugeeee im not looking for anything that large to start off.

Definitely do some more research, not trying to be mean but before you try anything you should always read up about it throughly before trying it. If you're not so sure about one topic, don't even start yet, read up as much as you can about it, believe me it really pays off in the end.

Ok did lots more reseach since i made the initial post and can answer most of my questions.
Anyways one thing i still dont know.
How strong is the odour while the plant is growing.. im guessing a white widow or a ak-47 plant..
Seems to be the most common.

Welcome to the forum. It will be a few months before you have to worry about smell and a few more before you have to worry about harvesting. One step at a time. What kind of a space do you have ect. I would recommend you check out "Marijuana Buds For Less".

When you do get to the point you worry about smell - it is stinky, stinky, stinky! If you don't want anyone smelling it - you do need to be concerned about the odor!

Looks like you got a pest, get a loupe or microscope and check your leaves for critters

definatly do alot of reaserch and start out with a very low scale operation. when i started i used one 65w gro n sho bulb in a 2x2x4 mini closet next to my bed. learn the plants needs and wants. ive seen many poeple who overwater or overfeed thier plants and give up after it doesnt work the first time. ive never known the ph of my soil or the humidity of my room but i have a great white shark hybrid that is 3 weeks from harvest along with other bagseed varieties and clones.

i guess what im tryin to say is start out simple get to know what you are doing and eventually growing will be a relaxing and fun hobbie that pays off with stanky nugs
