im germinating some seeds and one of them has white fuzz on it is it mold should i throw that one away?
Yeah - likely mold. You may be keeping the things too moist or in an area that is too humid.
I grow a lot of vegetables and fruits (not a euphemism) and have this problem a lot when germinating seeds directly soil-based seed trays with a plastic cover.
I've never seen this problem when germinating with a paper towel or similar method. My advice my not be applicable to your situation.
The mold is reduced by managing moisture levels. You have to find the right balance between providing moisture and avoiding the mold. The mold should clear up over a day or two if you reduce moisture levels. This can be done by removing coverings, using a fan, moving to a different area and obviously by reducing watering.
In my experiences the mold hasn't hurt my seedlings, when managed properly. Left uncontrolled it probably will kill the plant or prevent germination.
