Anyone know what is going on over that way, Im in the US and operate some some sites that I run ads on and my ad link partner sent me this email this morning and I was like well those plp in Germany must have something to worry about now...

Important Information Concerning Account Conversion

Dear advertising partners,

As you certainly came to understand, our German commercial partner UseNeXT is a Europeanbased operator. Unfortunately, Germany and Europe have been enforcing increasingly stricter regulations on service providing activities. This also affects service resellers such as UseNeXT as well as service marketers as FriendlyDuck.
For this reason, FriendlyDuck decided to terminate its cooperation with the reseller UseNeXT. This relationship was replaced by a cooperation with the Reseller "Usenet.nl" who is based in San Marino as FriendlyDuck. San Marino is geographically located in the centre of Europe. However, it does not belong to neither the EC nor to any international federation, treaty or convention. Therefore, we are now positive, we have established a longterm partnership, so that no more changes are to be expected soon.
How is all this going to affect you?

  • Unless you formally disagree, all URLs presently added into your online advertising will be transferred to usenet.nl on the 17th of November 2009.
  • Converting a usenet.nl page is at least just as efficient as with UseNeXT.com
  • Your present standard percentages of commission are definitely to remain the same!
  • No need to relay out or reinstall your advertising links!
  • No change of our conditions that remain unaltered!
As usual, you can check you statistics, credit notes, account information and much more online at any time in the member area under www.friendlyduck.com. Here you can also access the new advertising means of the new "Usenet.nl" shop. For more information about the product, please visit www.usenet.nl.
Enjoy our new program!
For any further questions or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us by email to *** or by ICQ: *****.
Best regards,
Your FriendlyDuck team

damn, i don't know what's going on over there but that seems crazy....

also, be careful when you re-post certain e-mail messages. sometimes the material contained in business emails is supposed to be kept confidential, and could even result in civil or criminal penalties.

just a head's up...

There was no disclaimer at the bottom of the email to tell me it was private so for 1 I sure could resend it, even if not I wouldn't care thats whats wrong anymore is plp are afraid to talk about the truth because it might not be "legal", growing pot isn't legal for me so LOL anything else I would do would be normal shit for me.

Yeah it is a scary world man, thanks for rining in!

alright... business enterprises normally have employees use a company format to send emails. this format sometimes includes a disclaimer about non-disclosure at the bottom... sometimes the disclaimer doesn't have to be included IF it is stated in a contract that emails sent to or from a certain domain cannot be redistributed, resent, or even read by parties other than the intended recepient... even job applications cannot be "print screened" (in theory).....

it's purpose is to protect trade secrets, and processes which are not copyrighted that give companies a competitive advantage...

depending on where you are, and which company you are talking about, the chances of getting caught are slim to none... and the penalties will usually be getting fired. in extreme cases of corporate espionage it could lead to the government intervening and getting you either a civil suit or maybe even a criminal investigation, or worse.......

I've seen those disclaimers you are talking about but what does this mean for the average person like myself?

i was just warning Phenom, cuz he posted the message.... and you can't just go around posting business email like that.... there's lawyers that make a living by fucking over ppl who do this type of thing...

what happened to him was that he owns and operates a web site, and his advertisements were being fed out of Germany, and since the new regulations went to place, it seems that the operation was no longer profitable, or maybe the operation couldn't go on as it was...

i really dnt know, because this set of regulations is a lil more complex, and the systems that carry information are even more complex..... aparantely his business partner found a quick and seamless solution to the problem... which is a win for Phenom...

Scare tacticts, if you have nothing to lose in civil court then worry not, I don't.
I made sure years ago I don't have assests in my name, that's why BoA hates that they cant do much about the 54k I owe them, they have to wait until I can pay HAHA

What you say is true I know, my point was, I'm arrogant and full of myself, and poor not to mention so LOL it doesn't hold much against me.
What's more funny is I dropped them back in the summer (just figured out which one they were, I have 7 exchange partnerships, this one is a joke and foreign so they would have a much harder time coming back at me).

Also companies in banner exchanges arent making those dollars like they use to so the liklyhood that they would waste what money they have to pursue a poor person would be a real efficient waste of time.

Much like when I took on paypal in small claims, it was cheaper for them to cut me a check than come across the country and fight me in a small metro court.

I've been very business smart all my adult life giving that's what I've done to support myself and my family and I use to be excellent at it till recently.
